I was thinking back to Season 2 of Btvs and I was wondering, did Angelus and Drusilla actually sleep with each other.

We know they shared a flirtation, but he seems to imply to Spike that more happened. Now it could be possible that he was lying to get under his skin but wouldn't Spike, being a vampire, be able to know if something happened? Angelus would also know, so why lie?

He doesn't say outright that anything happened but it did get me wondering...
 
I think there were flashbacks on Angel, s5, which clearly showed a scene Angelus and Drusilla were having sex and Spike walking in on them.

I completely didn't make myself clear, really sorry. I meant did they sleep with each other during Season 2 of Btvs.
 
I think they were at least somewhat physical with each other, but that's just what I feel. Don't really have any canonical evidence or anything, it just feels like Angelus had to have something to back up his taunts besides some 100-year past drama. Or Spike is just really good at holding grudges, lol.
 
I've wondered this a couple of times. It could be...they were surely intimate...they went around while Spike was stuck on the weelchair and Drusilla has proven herself a...uhm...how shall I put this? A free woman not tied just to Spike so I'm 90% sure they did.

It's really off topic but about shady did they?-didn't they? ...did Buffy and RJ had sex??? Someone in a topic implied Buffy had sex with a minor (RJ) but I never thought they went through with that because she would've mentioned it or when the spell was done, at least reflected upon it or addressed in some kind of way....just something I've been asking myself.
 
Yeah, I think it hinges on what Angelus says to Spike and what exactly he's implying. It's possible they just...well... fooled around, but I get the impression that it was more than flirting that going on.
 
I wouldn't be shocked if something did happen. It wouldn't be the first time Angelus or Drusilla did that to Spike. They probably did when you think about the way they were around each other.
 
In literally every fic I have ever read set in S2 Angelus was sleeping with Drusilla. A lot.

At this stage I find it hard not to believe they were sleeping together.
 
I do not think they were. They each were playing cat and mouse. Excluding the information which was shown in subsequent seasons, no, I do not feel at that time they were doing anything but playing. And it was the perfect way for Angelus to mindscrew Spike even more.

On one hand, I think you know, vampires--hedonistic, impulsive, passionate. Combine that with the fact that they have a sexual past, and that Angelus wants to piss off Spike, and I say definitely yes.
On the other hand, as Scobro said, the flirtation might have simply been to get under Spike's skin, (but then again, why not just take it all the way? Not like he was worried about any possible consequences!)
I also think that if they had been physically intimate and Spike found out, there was no way he was just going to sit there and sulk about it. Sulking was an appropriate reaction to flirting alone, but fighting Angelus to the death would seem to be a more realistic reaction to sleeping with his girl, for Spike. (Although he didn't in Ats season 5. Hmm).
 
I doubt that they actually did much sleeping, but yes, Angelus made it very clear that he was taking everything that Spike cared about, and that would have certainly included Drusilla.

Taking Dru away from Spike (and her willingness to BE taken) whenever he wanted her had been one of the ways that Angelus enforced his dominance over Spike from almost the very beginning. It was one of the things that he used to intimidate him and establish himself as the equivalent of the alpha male in a wolf pack.

To play with Dru. Come on! He could have killed Buffy numerous times but drew pictures of her and what not. Imagine Dru being all hot and bothered thinking 'this time he will for sure' and not. It would be more like Angelus to flirt and be ready and then not, than it would for him to actually follow through. Angelus lived to screw with people, but not necessarily screw with people. Getting Dru thinking he would, and Spike thinking he does/did simultaneously for a person that likes to control others would be golden! and then he could sit back and laugh at both of them for thinking its happening when it never is. Yeah, thats Angelus. And that's why he didnt do anything with Dru.

But it wasn't Drusilla that Angelus was torturing at this point, it was Spike. If he only flirted with Dru and had her in a state of arousal all the time, she might very well have gotten relief for her sexual tensions from Spike. That would hardly have been much in the way of torture, even if she cries out daddy's name at the critical moment instead of Spike's own. To actually take her, however, to have his scent on Dru, and Dru's scent on him, and have her walking around with a dreamy look all of the time (well, a more dreamy look than normal) a constant reminder to Spike that, once again, there was nothing that he had that Angelus couldn't take for his own, whenever he wanted it, or, for that matter hadn't actually been his all along, THAT was Angelus torturing Spike.

Given Drusilla's mental condition, I seriously doubt whether or not she was even aware of what was going on between the two men. She's never had all of her candles burning at the same time.

Dru may not have been the full deck, but she was perceptive. And evil. I highly doubt she didn't know what she was doing with Angelus, or what effect it would have on Spike. In fact I think that would make it more fun for her.
 
Angelus wasn't always about just killing for pleasure. He thrived on the pain he inflicted on others. He loved the fact he could dangle Dru in front of Spike and make it clear that he was better than him. Dru loved Angelus for being so twisted and dangerous, something Spike didn't always have in him. I think its definite that Angelus and Dru had some sort of sexual relationship that was darker and more disturbed than Spike and Dru.

My original point, though, and I think that we both agree, was that they WERE "doing it," and, even if they weren't, Dru would have probably enjoyed the torture, even if it HAD been aimed at her rather than "Roller Boy."

(See there? I can even call Spike a derogatory name. That's how confident that I am in my Spuffy-ness)

Even if they weren't sleeping together, Angelus knows how much his physical relationship with Dru bothered Spike; and since Spike had walked in on them in the past I don't think it would be hard to create doubt in Spikes mind. I could see Angelus lying about it just to get under Spikes skin and show him who's boss. It would have been a pretty easy way to toy with Spike.
 
As much as I really think they were sleeping together during S2, my emotional attachment to Bangel made me convince myself that Angel/Angelus would never do that to Buffy. I strongly believe that Angelus also loved Buffy (yes I know I'm a hopeless dreamer lol) and if that was the case I think Angelus is smart enough to know that if he was sleeping with Dru during this time Buffy would know and he would jeopardize his plans to stay "close" to Buffy and eventually hurt everyone around her.

Agh I don't know if I just made sense there but I'll just say IMO, my heart says no they were not sleeping together but my head...says yes, yes they were.

I'm very conflicted.
 
I certainly think they slept together, it's really the only thing in that scenario that makes sense to me... I mean... why not? They'd done it before, they were attracted to each other and they were both willing... so why not? 🙂
