Did They Or Didn't They?

Of course they had sex. They are vampires and obviously attracted to each other. And there was the bonus of mocking Spike by doing it. The way i see it the great love with Drusilla was pretty much all in Spike's head. And why would he turn against Angel if all he and Dru did was flirt?

To play with Dru. Come on! He could have killed Buffy numerous times but drew pictures of her and what not. Imagine Dru being all hot and bothered thinking 'this time he will for sure' and not. It would be more like Angelus to flirt and be ready and then not, than it would for him to actually follow through. Angelus lived to screw with people, but not necessarily screw with people. Getting Dru thinking he would, and Spike thinking he does/did simultaneously for a person that likes to control others would be golden! and then he could sit back and laugh at both of them for thinking its happening when it never is.

Drusilla might be crazy but she isn't stupid, nor is she some damsel in distress that Angel can manipulate. If he had pulled that trick on her, she might have turned against him, not to mention it depends on the assumption that sex is a big deal amongst soulless vampires. I don't think it is. They slept together whenever they felt like it, they had their quarrels at other times, no hard feelings. Spike is the exception, the guy who has some weird notions about fidelity wildly out of place in the vampire world. Drusilla enjoyed playing Spike against Angel and vice versa. She has most likely been doing that for years before Angel got his soul with the added bonus of sometimes pissing off Darla too.

But Angel is her sire so that makes him in her eyes what Dru is in Spikes eyes, so I am not really sure (again, excluding all the stuff that you saw happened later/before) that she would have.

Not really, Spike is just weird that way. I don't think there is any canonical indication that vampires tend to fall in love with their sires. Drusilla certainly didn't expect any fidelity from Angel and just enjoyed it all on a purely hedonistic level. If he had refused to sleep with her she would have just found someone else and flaunted her new conquest in front of Angel and Spike for some extra fun.

Totally agree. They're vampires and they have no concept of fidelity or even "hesitation," for that matter. It's pretty much want, take, have, and it's a huge bonus if you can piss off lots of people in the process.
Spike is different. 😉 Angelus knows that, and he knows that sleeping with Spike's girl would hurt him much more than it would any other vampire!

Evert indication that we've had in flashbacks and when either Angel or Spike refer to it, yes, sex IS a big deal, at least with those particular vampires. Probably one of the major reasons that Darla turned Liam in the first place was that she found him sexually attractive, and Drusilla turned her "Willie" because Darla wouldn't share "Daddy" enough to suit her. Rape was one of Angelus' favorite forms of torture (okay, granted, rape is more about physical intimidation than sexual gratification, but it's the same act, either way) It was part of what he used to drive Dru insane before he turned her. He "kept repeating" on Holtz's wife. Darla thought that having sex with "her boy" would rid him of his soul, and she was both amazed and angered when it didn't.

And how can we forget Buffy and Spike in Season 6? (Though I know one or two Bangels who would love to try) All of that real estate and furniture destruction wasn't just for Buffy's gratification. Spike was having his share of pleasure, right along with her.

We know that Harmony certainly loved boinking "Blondie Bear."

Granted, those are the only vampires who we can actually say had sex in any form, since all of the other vamps on the show seemed to be single mindedly focused on feeding, but it's a fair assumption that they all enjoyed a little sexual recreation between meals.

So, I think that it's a safe bet that vampires found sex to be quite pleasurable and indulged in it whenever possible.

I didn't mean they don't enjoy sex, just that it's no big deal for them emotionally. If it was the Fanged Four would have tried to kill each other all the time because of all the jealousy.

I have no doubt that they were some kinky freaks. LMAO Seriously, Drusilla was crazy and they were both sadistic. I'm sure they were actually sleeping together the whole time Angelus was there in the mansion.

OK, so now I'm totally convinced that they were...
Didn't Spike know? And if he did...why didn't he lunge at Angelus? I mean I know he "betrayed" him by making a pact with Buffy but, that's it? Hmmm

They didn't show it, no. But Angelus certainly alluded to that fact, he said something about Spike not being able to give Dru what she needed, and she did that weird barking thing she does.

I can't remember exact quotes because I don't really care for the end of season 2...

You have to take into account just what kind of character Spike was at that time. He had spent the better part of a century as the low man in Angelus' vampire family, and I have little doubt that quite a bit of that time was spent being belittled and bullied by by him. Simply put, Spike didn't make much objection to anything that Angelus might do simply because he was afraid of him. That's also why he formed that first alliance with Buffy.

Also, the fact that at that time he could barely stand and walk sort of ruled lunging out as any sort of productive endeavor.

Well, we do know from later flashbacks that Angelus and Dru definitely slept together. I think Spike's concerns are founded. Spike being "in the wheelchair", I wouldn' put it past Dru to get her satisfaction from Angelus, thinking Spike was incapable.

Yeah but he was recovered a lot faster than he let on. 😉
I do agree with you though, now that I think about it. He didn't stand up to Angelus in the 19th century and he wasn't ready yet in season 2. I mean, he hadn't had his relationship with Buffy yet to make him stronger!

Well I guess we will never know. Drusilla and Angelus are clearly flirting with each other and Angelus did imply something happened between them but because of his rivalry with Spike, he could just be saying this to piss Spike off.
