Ok this is just like the Xander one in the S1-2 forum peoples so you know how it works but this time its with good ol Wes.

In todays TNT episode(sorry dont know the name) Wesley has figured out the prophecy(which later becomes fake) that THE FATHER WILL KILL THE SON....so wesley decides to take baby Connor away from Angel costing Angel his son in the end.

Now do you think he made the right decision or he did not since he did not bother to talk to anyone at Angel Inc. about it and keep it to himself.

He just wanted to 'save' Connor on his own.he should have told others bout it,coz maybe that way they'd figure out another solution.Wesley wanted to gain recognition somehow by it...

Yes, he did make the right decision. With the knowledge he had at that moment, any other decision would have been unforgiveable.

Yes, he was doing what he believed was right in order to protect Connor. He only wanted to save Connor. He knew that even though Angel would never forgive him for taking Connor away, he believed that would be better than Angel killing his own son.

But if he had told others what he was going to do earlier maybe they'd together have thought bout better decision...

I wish he had just discussed stuff with the others. If only he could have allowed Angel to explain how Connor's blood was mysteriously put into his pig's blood. That could have led to Wes figuring out that it was rigged or something. And even without knowing all that, I wish he would've told Angel or someone about it. Then, even Angel could maybe see that Connor had to stay with Wes for a while for Connor's own good.

I don't think he wanted to gain recognition... How can you do that when you want to do what's right by betraying your friend? I believe that what he did was right, but he could've told the others about it.

I agree with slayerangel, i don't think it was to gain recognition, i cant see him wanting anything out of the situation but to save Connor, especially not recognition. He should have talked about it with others, but he was doing what he felt was right.

Oooh...we're neck and neck again...can't you just SMELL the excitment?!

Hmmm...maybe I just need to shower...

@Rayne, wtf?

Don't think it was recognition either, in the long run it did indeed give him some odd form of respect, he turned into a player that matter rather then Angel's slave.

Not in my opinion.

He did the right thing based on what he knew.
BUT
further investigation is all part of making good decisions. He didn't investigate deeply enough.

If, for instance, he was a civil engineer, building a bridge, and forgot to account for hurricane-level windforce, then it would be his fault people died in a hurricane. Ignorance is no excuse. His mistake was understandable, yes, but was it the correct decision? I think not.

I think his heart was in the right place. He wanted to help, but he went about it the wrong way. I think he should have told someone about what he thought was going on. So in my opinion i don't think he made the right decision.

Maybe he wanted to do a right thing, but when Giles was unsure bout sth he sometimes contacted his friends to get extra info..Wesley could have at least contact Giles..2 of them would have bigger chances to figure everything up correctly...

He did it for the best reasons, although I think it was a hasty decision. He should have talked to the others about it, it would have all ended better for him if he would have.

i think he made the right decision with the information and time that he had, i think he felt pressured to do it fast b/c of the signs he was given (earthquake etc) and that made him act fast instead of consulting the others, that and he felt they wouldn't understand and if something did happen they would never forgive themselves.
