Did Willow and Xander know that Giles was Buffy's watcher?

I've never thought of this before, but in season 1 did Xander and Willow knew Giles was Buffy's watcher? Or did they just think he was just this librarian who knew about the Supernatural and Buffy?

When Buffy and Giles are arguing in the very first episode, Xander is in the stacks and hears the whole conversation. Giles mentions that he's a watcher.
And I guess when Willow and Xander become close friends with Buffy, Buffy tells them all about being a Slayer and about Giles (offscreen).
So, yes, I think they knew.

That<s what I guessed too. Buffy wouldn't have told them she's a slayer without adding Giles was her watcher.

I think so or else they would probably start questioning why Buffy is always hanging out with an older librarian all the time.
