Do you think that the two would have a future if Xander would have fight more for Cordi after this Willow/Xander thing? Or was Cordi absolutely right and such an act unforgivenable? Or was it Xanders fault who tried too fast to get dates after some episodes after the "accident"?

In some ways yes Xander didn't fight enough for Cordy but Cordy made it crystal clear that she didn't want to be back with him she kind of explain to vampire Willow that she liked the thrill of sneaking up and snogging behind people's back that was it. But I think she just couldn't forgive him, if he didn't hang with Willow anymore and stayed away from her then maybe she would of got back with him but because he is always there with her it would of made it hard for Cordy to ever trust him again, if she found out about the dress then maybe she would of got back with him but Xander knows that he will end up hurting her again. Well that's my opinon 🙂, I do love Xander and Cordy together but hey we wouldn't of got Xander/Anya if Cordy stayed with Xander.

No, if he genuinely wanted to fix things between them he didn't do enough. His belief that saying sorry and bringing her flowers in the hospital somehow made up for his betrayal was downright appalling.

While Xander's behavior after the accident and breakup certainly could have been better, by that point I think the damage was done. Cordy opened herself up to Xander in a way she hadn't done before and she was devastated by his betrayal. I don't know that he could have done anything to salvage their relationship, although he certainly could have done more to help make a friendship possible.

I don't think Cordelia would have forgiven him. And I actually like that Xander respected her decision and left her alone.

Totally agree. I think that Xander tried to make up with her and fight for the relationship, but Cordy made it very, very clear that she wasn't interested. I think Xander understood that. He obviously still cared for her (he did buy that dress for her after all) but I think that was more him being a good guy and respecting her than trying to win her back.
