Did You Like Evil Willow?

Does anyone else Love the Evil Willow as much as i did. I'd always loved willow for her geekyness and she was cute, but i mean, when she became evil willow it was like the old willow died and the new one had more depth. I dunno maybe i'm crazy.

I wasn't that into the Evil Willow though - it had sort of been done with Vamp Willow. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't my favorite either.

When I first saw these episodes (grr why do I type "eposode" every time?) I loved it, but I think that was before I really got how amazing the whole BtVS show actually is. 'Cause after a bit, I realised that the season 6 finale is just a little bit more lame than the rest. Joss is a genius when it comes to making you cry but not making it the least bit too corny/lame/sweet, etc.
And this makes me like this whole thing a bit less. I still love Willow, and Seeing Red is a great episode.. And I like the idea. Just. Didn't work exactly as great as I first thought it did..

i liked evil willow, she was cool. but still i prefer season7 willow. she controled herself, even when that girl, cassie appeared telling that had a message from tara or something like that. willow could control her feeling and made me like her even more.

I remember reading one time that Evil Willow wasn't particularly charming. She really didn't have any redeeming qualities. Which I think was kinda the point. She was just a bitch. Vampire Willow at least was skanky, Evil Willow just wanted to take her pain out on others.

I was more into Evil Willow than the other Willow we got in season 6, but I understand why some people didn't like the change.

I loved her and hated her at the same time.

I loved her because in a way she wasn't really selfish, but she was very selfish. I mean, she saved Buffy's life BEFORE she went after Warren. I liked that the reason she went evil was because of Tara, it REALLY shows how much she loved her. It was great how she was defeated by Xander simply saying he loves her, and giving the speech about the crayon she broke in kindergarten (which was so sweet... I can just picture that... little Willow holding half a crayon in each hand and crying with little Xander sitting by her having absolutely no idea what to do... typical). Xander messes with people. But in a good way.

I hated her because... uh, because she was evil and veiny and scary and she tried to destroy the world. I wouldn't have hated her if she HAD destroyed the world, but she didn't. She failed. It didn't work out. Plus, I know Willow was in there somewhere, she couldn't have just turned completely evil, obviously, because Xander stopped her at the last minute... but seriously, she could've controlled herself if she really wanted to. I think that it wasn't completely Dark Willow who tried to destroy the world... there is no way she could get like that without Willow helping with some part of it.

I agree, the ending is a bit too corny/lame/sweet, it has it's moments though..
And I still like evil Willow, but more in the beginning of the storyline than the end. I love when Buffy and Xander doesn't really know what has happened yet and are trying to talk sense into her, but obviously she's way beyond that and won't listen to them.

Yeah, Seeing Red is just so much better than the last three episodes though. But I agree that Villains has many quite awesome moments. It's not as memorable like the other finales. Could also be 'cause the three last episodes feel like one, and a very very long one.

(Wow it sounds like I hate these episodes, I really don't..)

hmmm well I loved how powerful she was.. but that just isnt the Willow i like.. i liked the sweet willow.. and i liked her when she was with tara... 😀 but her killing people.. well in this case person.. just isnt her.. i dont know it just didnt do it for me

I love Evil Willow. Wasn't the biggest Vamp Willow fan. And Evil Willow kills Warren in such a sickly awesome way. I loved that entire episode, where she's chasing Warren through the woods and such.

Hmmm...a season that started with Willow performing the darkly heroic act of resurrecting Buffy from the grave ends with Willow trying to kill her underneath the ground. Maybe there's some way to make it flow poetically, I can't find it.

I thought Dark Willow was fugly. Although I did find her badassness and self-confidence a little sexy.

Actually, could have lived without the veins but the rest was one hot package. It's a pity that they didn't keep the hair as a permanent after effect of her transformation.

When i think of Black Willow now, i Think about the Extra's that were on the Season 6 dvds. American Television Arts & Sciences Panel Discussion. When the Mod asks:

"Alyson when did you know that Willow was gonna try destory the world"

Alyson: Umm oh gosh Well, when i was sitting at home watching going..."What the HELL is she doing?!" I had little hints...when my make up call became an hour earlier...wait a minute whats this about??...I dunno..When i got the scripts, and thought "oh dear...its getting worse!" I found out a lot from my boyfriend! You [pointing to Joss] talked more to my boyfriend! I found out thru him that I knew i was gonna go evil. I knew the black books sucking thing. That was cool. I knew how my hair was gonna get black, and why. But i didnt know about the whole flay...oopsy! I only saw it in person, it was gooey.


Shes so awesome. If you've got the dvd's of season 6, watch that panel. I love alyson, shes so cute!

Evil Willow was the biggest bad ass ever. She could have kicked anyones ass. I thought it was a refreshing change of pace for the character. Not to mention a decent twist. Season six is my favorite season though. I'm biast. I think she got worse and worse when killing Warren didn't ease the pain...finally she just figured if the pain won't stop everything should.

Evil Willow was lots of fun, and I loved the ending, it was really needed after the very depressing season.. not sure if that makes me corny/lame/sweet heh.
