Did you like (whatever) pairing during its course?

...or did you just dislike it during its entire run? For example, I love Spike/Dru until he fell in love with Buffy (then I'm a firm Spuffy shipper). But I took an instant dislike to Bangel when I first watched the series. I like Cander during its time, but definitely not during the later seasons, which I reserve solely for Xanya. I never quite got over the heartbreaking ending of Woz, but I'm okay with Tillow (even though I prefer Woz). Still hate Killow, though. So for me, it depends on the execution on the pairing itself. If executed well, I like it during its run. (Like with Briley. I liked it in its budding stages, but after their secrets as Slayer and Initiative soldier were out, it got old.)

I liked just about all of the pairings during their course, even (get ready for a shock) Buffy and Angel. Theirs was the stuff of which Harlequin Romance novels are made of: Buffy, the brave lady bravely facing an enemy that, ultimately, she will, at best only be able to slow down temporarily, and Angel, the dark, mysterious warrior, tortured by the sins of his past, his desire to somehow, in some slight way, make amends for an evil past. Their romance was inevitable, just as was the eternal curse that would always keep them apart. Romance novelists have been living comfortably on the royalties from stories using variations on that theme for decades.

Of the various other relationships, I think that they have their time and place, with even a few that had the potential of being everlasting (Twillow and Spuffy, obviously, and possibly Giles/Jenny, if it had been time to develop)

Yes, I like most pairings and appreciate their good points at the time of watching them together. I think that different people are right for the characters at the different points in their life.

I liked all the pairings during their run except spike and harmony (if that even counts) just cause he was so obviously using her and she was letting him. :-(

I was able to enjoy most pairings during their runs; the only couples I initially didn't like were Fred/Wesley and Kennedy/Willow. Other couples, mainly Buffy/Spike, I've come to find less enjoyable the more I re-watch the series.

I actually hated Spuffy during the original run of the show but I've grown to like them a lot the more I watch them together. And where I used to think Bangel reigned surpreme, and no one would be as good for Buffy as Angel, now I don't think they would have ever worked out in the long run. My opinions have changed a lot as I've gotten older and identify with the more adult emotions of the show.

I liked Bangel a lot (and I still do), but to a lesser degree once Spike showed up. I didn't really care for Spike/Dru at first, but oddly enough once Spuffy started I even liked Spike/Dru a LOT! I think that's merely because I really liked Spike, and only just realised the kind of chem he had with Dru. I'm still completely in love with Spuffy--that is never gonna change I think.

I didn't like the idea of Fred/ Wesley at first because I loved the Fred/ Gunn relationship, but in Angel's final season I grew to like Fred/ Wesley too. 🙂
