Did you miss Angel and Cordelia in season 4, or was the introduction of Spike, Riley, Anya and Tara enough that you didn't notice that they were not a part of the series anymore.

No. I'm not a fan of either of them very much and loved what they did with Anya's character after high school. Spike being back was good enough for me. I did miss Oz when he left though.

Because I watched Buffy first I did miss them both a lot! And I really didnt like the re-introduction of Spike to pretty much replace them both. However, after I watched Angel I realized I liked them both a LOT more in Angel, so I was happy.

And of course them leaving left room for Anya to come in so it didnt completely have a negative effect on Buffy 😀

I did miss them, yes. But when Anya and Spike became a part of the series, my pain quickly changed to happiness (and utter attraction to Spike *cough*).

But as I watched Angel before Buffy, it was hard for me to miss them to the best of my ability, because I knew their characters were much better in Ats.

I think so I honestly can't remember completely. I get used to things pretty quick unless I feel the show suffers. I like the way it all turned out though. I missed them a little but you know I love Spike 😛

Yup and Yup. As much as I love ATS, and the friendship Angel and Cordy developed, I always wished for a crossovers so I could see them with the Scoobies again.

I often wonder how different the verse would have been if Angel hadn't been picked up for the second season and Angel and Cordy returned to Buffy (as Joss had promised).

I'm fairly certain it is something I really would want to see.

I didn't know that something like that was on the grounds!
No. I didn't really like either of them on Buffy. I did miss Oz though.

Cordy and angel are two of my favorite characters but no I didnt miss them because I love them on ats because they get so much character growth there.

I don't recall much problem with it. I do remember not wanting Angel to leave (because I was a Bangel, before Spuffy was invented), but I guess once I fell for Spike and Spuffy this season, it all disappeared. I don't really miss them, as much as Angel was a big part of BtVS, and Cordelia had a great part as well. It just didn't matter anymore, and I moved on pretty quickly.

Sure I did, not enough to wish Ats hadn't been made mind you, but they were a big part of the show and they left a big couple of holes behind. Though other characters made up for it in a way there are no substitutions for Captain Forehead or Queen C 🙂

I think we got to appreciate Cordy's character in particular better on Ats. On Btvs she wasn't that popular (the character), but once she moved on to Angel, she grew on fans, we liked her better, saw her better. After a while, we kinda lost the old Cordy, who was a great great character, but we gained a better person, easier to love and relate to. That's how I see her moving to Ats.

No... I don't think either of them were ever really so much a part of the Scoobies that I thought "Something's not right without them here". I thought they both fit much better in the "Angel" world than they ever did in Buffy's.
The only person I REALLY missed when they were gone was Oz.

mayfever agrees: I didn't know that something like that was on the grounds!

Yes, Joss promised them that if ATS didn't make it, they would return to Buffy. And not that I wouldn't have wanted that to happen (I love ATS!) but that would've been so interesting.

It really would have. Imagine the Angel and Cordy of Shanshu in LA coming back to Sunnydale? How much they would have changed and the effect they would have had on the dynamic of the Scoobies.

I'm kinda salivating at the mere thought of this. It would have been Ahmaaaazing!

Kean I'm not sure, season 5 had a big cast anyway, would they have still fit in, I doubt that they would have got much screen time, especially Cordelia.

Don't ruin my dream! :p

Didn't know that!
I wonder what the Spike/Spuffy story would have been like if it were to happen. Maybe threre wouldn't have been Spuffy at all (victory celebrations later, Bangel friends, there IS Spuffy!)

As much as I love Riley (which is a lot 😉) and ATS yes I did miss Angel and Cordy. A LOT! They were two of my favorite BTVS characters and for me personally the others didn't quite fill that void.

Also, I missed OZ in the later seasons. I adored him.

I always wished for a crossovers so I could see them with the Scoobies again.
You and me both! I would get so excited for crossovers 😀

Oh I would have loved to see that! ATS Angel and Cordy would have mixed things up in Sunnydale and been so interesting.

It might have worked. I think Cordy would have brought more to the table than Anya did in later seasons. She might not have been re-introduced as a scoobie but I can see her in Sunnydale still fighting the good fight.

I was happy that Angel and Cordelia were gone because their characters would not have gotten much screen time on BtVS, and they both become more interesting and fun on AtS anyways. Plus, Anya was great and ended up being the funniest character on the show (IMO).

I missed them, but I am really enjoying them on AtS. I always am sad when a character joins the show, but I tend to resist change in general. The new characters always bring me some form of joy. Except Dawn. She ruined my life. 🙂
