Didn't Buffy break the law?

If I'm not mistaken, Buffy wasn't even 21 when she had alcohol in some occasions: First time was in "Reptile Boy". Then in season four's "Beer Bad". Then also in season six's "Life Serial", where she even drank a whole bottle of booze with Spike, after drinking shots of bourbon at his crypt.

So, Buffy broke the law, didn't she?
And while we're on it, in "Band Candy" Buffy drove a car even though she had no license (she failed on the test). Buffy-big law breaker!

She did drink when she was underage. Here you can drink legally at 18 but all the kids start drinking way before that so I'm not surprised nor shocked (I'm not saying it's not a bad thing but unfortunately it's not a big deal here). Driving without a license is quite bad since your put yourself and the others in danger if you don't know how to drive but I guess it was an urgent matter..I always wondered..didn't the others have a license? At least one of them...like Oz..I thought it was one year older than them. Sometimes the writers just slip on the stupidest things. The stealing thing...that's something Buffy should've reflected upon...she really did break the law and not in a life & death situation...it's sad they never showed her dealing with this.

Did Buffy break the law? Certainly. Just in the fulfillment of her mission, there was breaking and entering, destruction of both private AND public property, trespassing, carrying concealed and unlicensed weapons, assault, and the attempted murder of Faith. And that's just the local and state laws. There's also her infamous rocket launcher and how she obtained it, plus all of the, albeit justified, chaos and destruction that she either initiated or was a party to in dealing with the Initiative. And let;s not forget attempting to murder Wood and statutory rape of a high school student (R J) Oh, and there's that little matter of robbing the Swiss bank in Season 8, and possibly having sex with another minor (we never learned just how old Satsu is, hence my use of the word "possibly.") Compared to all of that, underage drinking and driving without a license were absolutely nothing.

That's STATUTORY rape, not forcible rape. And I'm not sure about the consumation bit either, now that you mention it, so that's another "possible," rather than a proven fact.

...plus burning down the gym at her school in LA, though that was apparently taken care of before she and Joyce moved to Sunnydale.

Maybe Buffy and Faith can be cellmates for the next 3 or 4 decades, and the Fuffy shippers will have their fondest dreams realized.

(To come back to the alcohol question, Buffy wouldn't have broken the law here, as the legal drinking age is 16. But drinking at the wrong age seem soooooo unimportant after all the things you guys mentioned 😱)

Nope, in Belgium you can legally drink and smoke at 16! (which is why it is crazy to me to not be able to drink before 21, talk about culture gap 😀)
