I couldn't sleep so I was watching Welcome To The Hellmouth last night. Keep in mind it was like 3am so my mind might have been a little warped. But, when Buffy checks the body in the locker room and then goes to Giles, they talk up in the stacks. Giles comes out of the exact place that Xander later appeares from. Wouldn't they have seen him or known he was there the whole time? Did anyone notice?
 
well Xander couldve been in another side of the stacks..and then went into the one they were in after they walked out of that pair of stacks. Or maybe Xander can turn invisable...(jk)
 
Agree with the common theory, Xander came to that place later on.
 
LOL, some people come out with the most bizarre things, ana8 being one of them! I can see that happening actually.
 
Maybe we can put the two together! The one Ana8 said and the one Primal Slayer said! They were having an affair on the stairs, but Buffy just didn't see him becuase he was invisible!
 
I'm sorry...but that's was my secret theory for all these past years..There HAD to be sth between them two...

back on topic: Well, if Giles knew Xander was in the library, he wouldn't have said anything. and being the librarian and all, he would have had to tell Xander where the book was located, thus he'd know he was there.
 
Maybe Xander had walked in and had started browsing by himself, not having asked the freaky scary (they mostly are) librarian where to find the book he was looking for. Perhaps, he still hadn't returned his previous book and wanted to avoid him, which sounds like a Xander thing.
 
That could be true, yup. He was a sophomore in season one. He might have already known the library from being a freshmen.
 
Because I don't want to think about Giles and Xander getting it on...?
