Difference between Slayer/Vampire Strength & Gunn's Strength

We've seen that slayers/vampires are very strong. We've never seen any non-slayer human display a great amount of strength, so why does Gunn seem to be as strong as Angel?

I don't think he is, obviously he has strength, but the main thing he has to fight Vampires is that he knows how to Handel himself, He knows how to fight.

You dont have t be strong to be able to fight. Like BEG said, he knows how to handle himself in a fight.

I've never really seen any indication that Gunn is stronger or strong as Angel, he was just an adept fighter with a more than average amount of strength, but nothing super
