Now the first two Buffy video games were great. But I think with the next games there are some other genres of video games to be explored besides your typical hack slash and puzzle solving platformer. Here's a few games that I think would be cool:

Angel
Genre: Action RPG

Now here's the set up, it wouldn't be quite an action game nor would it be a waiting battle system RPG. Basically, I would take the fighting system in "Kingdom Hearts" and use it here. Basically, your main character would be Angel, but as the game continues, you can have a party of three in your group. Angel has to decide which two characters will be in his group for each mission. If I had my way, selectable characters would be: Wesley, Fred, Gunn, Lorne and Connor. Which character Angel chooses would be based on what the current mission is,if it were a normal hack and slash destroy all demons thing Gunn would obvisiously be in the group. But if it were a puzzle solving Angel would rather bring Wesley or Fred. But there would still be a lot of hack and slash action don't get me wrong.

Also, each character would have a different way of customizing. Angel would be the template character, so he wouldn't need to be upgraded. But every other character would learn new skills or get upgraded with new weapons. Like Gunn for example would start out the game with using only his fists, as the game goes on, he gets upgraded with his homemade axe as a weapon learning new skills with that and then onto other weapons. While on the other hand Wesley, would start out with a weapon, most likely a shotgun, but learn different conjuring spells that would help his party in battle, like barrier spells and ways heal his party. Connor, would learn new fighting skills, same goes with Fred. Lorne would upgrade by not only learning different fighting skills (which would be weak), but also in finding enemies weaknesses.

Oddly I thought of starting a thread similar to this the other day. Are you reading my thoughts (hides)

Anyway good idea. I thought of a MMORPG (mass multiplay online role playing game) where you choose which race (eg Slayer, demon- many types, watcher, vampire etc) you are and simply live your life.

Another is fighter, each character has their own style and the levels are from Bufy and Angel. There could be some great locations to choose from such as Wolfram and hart, Sunnydale High School, The Magic Box etc If they got some good developers behind it it could be good. If someone like whoever made Soul Calibur 2 made it, rather then Eurocom or whoever made Choas Bleeds because that multiplayer was rubbish.

I like the ideas, but somehow I doubt their will be another Buffy game to come out and probably one Angel game will come out one day.

For Buffy I would love a game set up in one of the 7 seasons, and you go up agianst the villan of the season. I would so love to fight Glory or The Master.

Also for Buffy, since they have the whole Tales of the Slayers thing it would be cool if they made a game about it, where you play several different slayers and beat that villan then you get told a story about the next slayer and etc..and like in the end yo could play Buffy or Fray.

Ive always thought...and I know...its not very original...but I always thought it'd be cool to do a Buffy/Angel game based around a Season...like...you make your way through the episodes of that season and stuff.
If I had my way, I'd choose Season 5 and Season 7 of Buffy, and Season 4 of Angel...which now...I guess Primal Slayer cleared up the concept pretty well...lol...yet...Im still babbling...

(PS - Primal Slayer - What a WICKED banner!)

I can only think of a style of game that would be totally wrong for the Slayerverse (it's been a long time since I did any serious gaming😉)
Ladies and Gentlemen - I give you Buffy and Angel in "MYST - The Slayer Years" 🙂

I agree with the "Kingdom Hearts" idea! I love that game and the idea of building your characters' experience points up and chasing after the villain whilst working your way through a fantastic storyline! 😀
