I hope this is accurate, but while looking up Bill Murray on IMDB it lists guests slots on Buffy in his filmography. He's credited as 'Mordag the Destroyer' for the 2003 season!

This will either suck or be the best thing ever!

Anyone know more about this, or is this old news?
 
Not sure, he may be something, but I lean towards him just being a MOTW or something. If you want my bet as to who the Big Bad is, here it is...Buffy herself.
 
I agree that with a name like Mordag the Destroyer he sounds like a MOTW, but Bill Murray's a bigger catch than getting Eliza back, especially with Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums recently, so I hope they do slightly more with him. Seems like a shame otherwise.

Now Buffy as the big bad IS an intriguing idea! How the hell would they pull THAT off though?!
 
No idea, but what is it were a role reversal when Faith comes back, instead of her being the bad girl, it was Buffy as the bad girl. IOW Buffy vs. Faith, unless they really mean to finish Faith this time.
 
Why are we assuming that Faith is the one being bad? I can't see Buffy being bad, unless she was possessed or something...
 
Well here's a thought as to why. Remember what Dracula said, the Slayer's power is rooted in darkness. Now, no Slayer lives that long, and Buffy has cheated death twice so far, and she's been a Slayer for what? 8 years? Now, one theory is that a Slayer's power is in fact demonic in origin, because lets face it, Faith, Kendra, and Buffy don't look even a fraction as strong as they really are. Now what if the Slayer's short life-span is actually a safety-net created in order to insure that the source of a Slayer's power doesn't twist them to evil. I would not say that Faith went truely evil, although she came very close, and I don't think it had anything to do with her being a Slayer. But Buffy's been at it for a long time, and who knows, maybe the source of her power finally twists her to evil. Also, the theme this season is supposed to be really about power, who has it. Willow said it best, being a Slayer isn't about the violence, its about the power.
 
if he is on it, he would have to be playing some sort of one-time comedic character. but for some reason i don't think he will actually appear on the show.
 
Load of Crap. IMBD's info is sent in by the fans and such. This is the same site that had Tim Curry as Uther The First Vampire. Sorry, but I'm pretty sure this is 100% grade A bull plop.
 
Not sure. I know someone who has a film on IMDB and all info was sent in by the production team themselves, then verified by IMDB staff with agents etc... they were pretty thorough.

Whatever is the case, I hope it is true.
 
😕 Buffy is capable of being bad and it would be interesting to see her and Faith trade places but they already had someone go against their personality(See Willow) so that would be boring😎
 
Good point! Maybe someone else?... Perhaps Xander has enough built-up rage to do the job?
 
O.K. This will never never ever happen but what about an epic battle between Xander and Angel. That would be so cool. There was so much unsaid between them when angel moved to LA. Notice Willow not Xander went to tell Angel about Buffy's "death" curious::mmm::
 
While the source of the Buffy's/Faith's power may be demonic in nature(Read Tales of the Slayer--the comic one, the first story)the possibility does indeed exist that she may go bad. I mean the 1st Slayer may be a demon/human hybrid--working in reverse. This is my theory, of course. Giles said that the first true vampire--in order to stay alive--mixed his blood with a human, and became a demon. Is it possible that the evolution could've produce a another demon that killed vampires instead of making them into more vampires? Keep on watching "Restless," and just think about it. The 1st Slayer was pure monster...she was a lean, mean killing machine. She was incapable of any rationale thought. Buffy says "I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back." And all the 1st Slayer says, "I am destruction. Absolute ." Remember the scene when Giles is being pursued by the 1st Slayer(when of many actually). She cuts his head open, and he goes, "of course, how could you have known(the difference between who to kill and not to) you never had a Watcher." It is possible that the Watcher position originated to control the Slayer from killing the wrong person. Remember Faith didn't have a Watcher, and looked what happened. Giles and Buffy even talked about it in "Consequences." Now, I am not theorizing a Watcher in the form of person, but in the form of a support group. In Buffy's case, it would be Giles--now the Scoobies(including Spike--remember his actions in Dead Things. He does everything he can, because he knows that she is important to the fight). We all saw what happened to Faith when she didn't have a Watcher. She went to the other side. However, she wasn't pure evil. She was still human, and it was she who told Buffy on how to defeat the Mayor. Furthermore, as much as was paid to, she didn't want to kill Angel. She only wanted to upset Angel enough so that she could get killed--effectively suicide by cop. Now, that she has a sponser--in a sense her Watcher--Angel(and the rest)she will be reformed(hopefully).

I just don't see an evil Faith returning mainly because the fans liked Faith as a "good" slayer in the first place, and Joss would really do a disservice to bring her back as an evil one. I know that I'll be mad!
