Disable snow?

Sorry if there is a thread about this but the snow on the index is bringing my browser to a standstill. Is there any way for us to disable it on an individual level?

If this has been answered already go ahead and delete this but please PM me with the answer. =]

If you mean the snow on the Amends skin then you can easily change it under your User Control Panel. Under Settings & Options you can "Edit options" and change to a diffrent skin, sans snow. 🙂

Don't you see it Taake? It's on every skin, well I guess. Definitely on most. It's been like that every winter the past years. Only on the front page though.

It's not on my Sprusilla skin.


DV - if it slows down your browser I would recommend finding a skin that doesn't have it. 🙂

It's the javascript. It will show on the main page for any skin. It's built into the software.

I didn't even notice there was snow. It doesn't show up much against the white background.

Scobro speaks true, the snow is integrated. Perhaps an Admin can still be able to help you.
In the meantime you should try a less resource-intensive browser and see if that at least helps ameliorate your problem.
