Following on from the end of As You Were. Spike, devastated by Buffy's rejection, finds solace in a bottle shared with Anya and finds his unlife turned completely on its head. He finds that vengeance might not be for losers after all as he is thrust into the opportunity of a lifetime. But can he convince Buffy to take the risk?

A vampire given a new life, a Slayer given a second chance, and the passionate fury in which they come together.

We Will Remember Them...
In 1943, to save Dru, Spike agrees to go to France to save the Slayer who is held captive by the Germans. In 2000 Sunnydale, Buffy - newly returned from the grave and in a relationship with Spike - agrees to time travel back to France to save a Slayer and kill a vampire.
 
I like the sound of We Will Remember Them, but I am happy to read all of them 🙂
 
I haven`t read any of them. My first choice would be No. 3. Second choice is No. 1, but that one is quite Long. And No. 2 is my third choice.

Also, I'm joining this time. I keep waiting for Supernatural S12 to arrive in the mail and it keeps not, so I've got some time on my hands before I finish my re-watch, lol 😀
 
I'm in! S11 of SN is on Netflix But I'm only on S4 of my rewatch. I'm not letting myself watch 11 until I've done my rewatch and the anticipation is killing me. There are so many seasons I feel I need to refresh my memory on the story to truly enjoy 11 and then 12.

I'm on Chapter 10 (and I've read every line but maybe not EVERY word on a line ). Is it bad form to ask whether extra time and penalties are involved? I'm not reading anymore if they are...it'll all end badly. 🙁

I have a confession to make. I think I read the wrong fic last time. 😳

Finished - luckily needn't be in work till late. 🙂 If it's the one you chose I'll probably read it again - I've only read for plot. Even if you don't chose it - I'm glad I read it. That's 2.5 fanfics I've read. I'm feeling very smug. 😛

I'll be honest - I was apprehensive initially because of the setting - hence my anxiety displaced through the daft football comments - but I felt everything was handled sensitively. I really enjoyed it. It's very clever. I'm re-reading now I've got the plot out of the way but my review is likely to be far too long.🙁 In fact, I've just realised it has a Kate Atkinson feel to it. Not as immense (in the fullest sense) but enough to keep me going. It's mythic but tight. I'm trying to figure out the shape of its formal structure (in fact, I'm trying to go to work but this and apathy are distracting me). I want to say a double helix but that's almost certainly wishful thinking on my part - I'm in danger of colonising the text. 🙁
