discussing things from threads in the cemetery

after reading this in the thread What's your post about?
I'm a little confused about what to do...

Oh and on the post you quoted. I personally don't have a problem with it. Yeah the issue of Xander's eye may have been done to death, but most of those threads will be in the cemetery by now. Why shouldn't someone who's just discovering Season 7 be able to discuss the eye thing? Perhaps someone other than you or me hasn't seen that issue discussed yet, or can even offer a fresh perspective.

Long story short, I was cleaning out my email and found a notification for a thread I had subscribed to. I had something I wanted to post on it but then I realized it was closed and and in the cemetery section. So my question is this, would begging and pleading to get the thread taken out of the cemetery do any good or should I just start a new thread?
