Oh my God. No more Buffy...

I really enjoyed the finale.

Spike and Angel were so petty, it'll be interesting to see how they get on together in 'Angel' next year. It'll also be interesting to find out how Spike is going to come back. I reckoned that he would become human for helping to prevent the apocalypse, as the prophecy in Angel predicted, but my friend thinks that this will not happen. Any thoughts?

The only thing that bugged me about the episode was that everyone was able to kill the Turok-Han with ease, when clearly even the slayers should have found them a lot more difficult. Anya beheading 2 at once was just ridiculous.

Willow was pretty cool, glad to see that she has her control sorted out now. The whole concept of activating all of the potentials was a great idea, and is possibly the only way that Buffy could have a happy ending. I hope that she just goes off and has a happy life now. If she keeps being dragged back into Angel then I am sure she will give up her new optimism pretty quickly.

The other thing that I thought was nice to see was just before the fight, when the original gang was standing together, just the four of them, and there was a homage to the first season when Giles said "the world is doomed".

Maybe Anya could have done with a longer send off. She has been a major part of the gang for 3 years now, and she was forgotten pretty quickly.

In fact maybe the episode should have been twice as long, to give chance for a better rounding off. Still, in general this has given a good finish to the series and it does leave the door open for a whole range of possibilities in Angel, or in a new 'Joss Whedon' series.

By far the best part of the episode.

So, does this mean Spike may be the 'major player in the Apocalypse' and the one to 'Shansu', rather than Angel whom Wolfram & Hart have been focussing on? Oh well, let's leave it to Angel to decide that.


Goodbye Buffy, live your life in full. You saved the world. A lot.
 
I just finished watching it. It was amazing but it left me wanting more! Joss better hurry up with whatever it is that he is working on. The banter all through the episode was great. It was actually funny and light where I thought the episode would be dark and heavy. This has always been the feeling of the series however, laughter in the face of adversity.
How is Spike on Angel! Fall is too far away.
 
I know that ' wanting more' feeling, that's exactly what happened to me after seing it.. oh my, can't believe we won't have Buffy anymore. This made me Angel thirsty lol, can't wait for the next season and see these two vamps together again like in old times but now in the good side.
This episode is one to remember, a great epy after 7 great seasons. Can't define the feeling.

I really enjoyed the scene where the four scoobs started joking around. 🙂
 
All in all, an excellent send of for the one, true slayer.

White-haried Willow was a great contrast to last seasons dark and veiny.

What about Faith and Robin? I was ROFLing when he told her she needed more experience and she started to undo her belt.

Great send off!
 
Oh God, I am so depressed... i can't believe it's over... still the episode was pretty much amazing...
I don't have a problem with them killing so many turok hans... we know they can die of decapitation, with swords that ain't that hard...
It was nice to see the four original scoobies having one last moment, with homage to first season...
How is Spike going to be on Angel? Anyway, there's the shanshu explanation who would make Angel even more pissed... I loved the "i was the first vampire with a soul" deal...
It was nice when they were playing the RPG game with Andrew, I like the making them all slayers deal, I liked how Anya died saving Andrew, who would have thought of that?
Nice work for the special effects deparment...
I could easily rank this episode among my favorites, I'm so glad I can say that about the last of 144 great episodes, even the bad ones were great...

I'm so sad it's over...
 
Overall wonderfull, but too rushed, obviously woulda done best as a 90 min ep

Didn't know Spike was to be on Angel, and frankly I think thats too bad. It will take some of the dramatic effect of this episode away. He went with style.

Was so happy to see the series end with a smile on Buffys face, and the "core group" all alive and kicking. Too bad about Anya, tho her death struck me as hasty and felt like a way too quick and emontionless exit for such an important character. I also agree about the severly diminshed strenght of the ubervamps.


Final random thoughts would be; can't compare to "The Gift" in the emotional department if you exclude the fact its the last buffy ep ever, expected more but its surely not a disasterous end to the best series ever. That Smile on B's face while looking down on the crater, surrounded by her friends, was so much the end I wanted but didn't dare to hope for.
 
I loved the ep, I just dont like the idea of so many slayers it kinda cheapens all the buffy stuff a little, at least for me. Mabey if the spell lasted a day or something but Have 100's perhaps even thousands of slayers just doesent do it for me.

However ep wise it was awsome, right up there with the best episodes of the rest of the series. All I can say is I feel like I lost a good friend... Its going to be strange next season with only Angel to keep my Buffy'verse craving's in check... Oh well all and all a great series.

After the First's war on the Potentials it would probably be more like dozens (if even that many) than hundreds or thousands. As far as it making Buffy 'less special', it kinda does in a way, which is sort of the point. Buffy isn't THE Slayer anymore, she's one of many, which means she can now have a life or take a vaction (that would be why the episode ended with them discussing what they would be up to next, for the first time, Buffy has a choice she doesn't have to run off and save the world because there are others who can do that). Essentially, it is the closest to having a happy ending as anyone could have hoped for.

...'Sides, Kendra and Faith already 'cheapened' the whole one-gir-in-all-the-world bit.l
 
I love it, every last bit (except perhaps for the music, which could have been better.)

The fact that they all became Slayers was cool, especially since this proves that Willow is the strongest one. I liked the white haired godess her, but has she really become a godess or was Kennedy just complimenting her.

The fight was awesome, the Turok-Hans were portrayed well, the four original scoobies-moment was very emotional. And the destruction of Sunnydale was cool.

And off course the last scene, the bus near the crater, that scene, though it may seem insignificant, to me it really closed the whole chapter, it really was the perfect ending!
 
not so much... but actually Angel wasn't even important... he was just there for the "No, you don't, but thanks for saying it anyway" moment..
 
Too long! I guess DB was exhausted after a full season on his own show which clearly showed in his acting. Lame - as Spike would say!

Hasn't anybody noticed just how much the air is out of this relationship? Physically close, yet so far apart. After having seen this ep, I just hope Buffy won't have any guest appearances on Angel.

A banter-full ep with lots of special effects, with the ending that Buffy can take time out because of all the other active slayers.
Not exactly series-finale quality. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed watching this ep, but I expected more from JW & Co for this big finish!

Yes, the references to earlier seasons were very clear and I am sure they were intended to round everything up. If the full ep had ended in some real big-bang it would have made an ever better evening!

Please give us something exciting next season on Angel to make up for it!
 
I actually think it's the perfect finale for the series.. i mean since Welcome to The Hellmouth Buffy has expressed how she doesn't want to be the slayer, and there have been reminders throughout all the seasons... the series ending with Buffy being able to take a break is just too good
