I got very teary eyed .. I was like okay no crying she's just ganna say "sorry it couldnt work out" and thats ganna be the end. But she just had to say "Im not leaving till you ask me .. ask me." I was like *tear* Watching Eliza cry is just ... wrong. Good episode though.

Michael "Nick" Trucco's Musical Side

For those of you who really really want to know, Michael Trucco the actor who played Nick, the 'hot' firefighter, is the lead guitarist for the L.A. band simpleworld.

Their website is http://simpleworldmusic.com, and they've got a show at the Cat Club on Nov 21st, in case you want to check this guy out in person. The site has photos and music downloads, too.

Cheers!
Christian

Like some other,I missed the first episode. But this one was totally great! It was great and the guy..Nick? Was hot. Her brother seems like a cool guy and really like a gambbler. I really hoped Nick(i think) lived he was such a great guy.

I think we saw three themes this week that had to be explored sooner or later:

1. Any relationship for Tru is gonna be rough. How much of her "gift" can she share with him before he calls the men in the white coats? If she decides not to share, how much can she hide and for how long?

2. Some men are scum. Some are not. Try to decide which category this guy falls in *before* you fall for him.

3. On special occassions, you will be allowed to save someone. You can't save everyone. Accentuate the positive.

All of these were well handled and without disrupting the narrative flow. Some general comments:

Harrison may be odd, but he's not dumb. His comment about the sugar thing ("It's like you knew it was gonna happen!") shows that he may figure out what's going on in a future episode.

The M. E. is a typical Science Nerd and has a crush on Tru (and just how many hot LIVE women do you suppose he's met recently?), but Tru will probably never notice. C'est la vie.

On the "second" day, when Tru woke up and started playing word games with the Prof, there was a moment when she was looking right into the camera and I said, "Hello, Faith!" It was the first glimpse of the always-angry slayer we've seen.

No running this episode that I saw (except in the credits). Bummer. Nice shirt, though - even if it did take her two tries to get it. 🙂

This episode was so so much better then the first episode because, it wasnt all about introducing all the characters and stuff like that. I thought the story line was awesome though... I liked the but where she dumped the prof! I didnt realy like him anyway =P ... and how typical of a girl to re live the day and get another chance of getting that top! The hot fireman was so good in it, why did he have to die! It was really really sad at the end, i dont know why the director wanted him to die! I mean when she saved him from nasty broken ankle, i thought he would live! I would rather the little girl die than him! I think im really getting obsessed with this tv series now! I really really hope it doesnt cancel =[ i give this one a full 10/10

Okay"”

Tru/Nick: Did not pick up any chemistry between them, so I wasn't that torn to see him die. Also, his inevitable death was a tad too obvious. Of *course* Tru can't save everyone, something I *never* would have realized on my own since such complex thought eludes me. I get slightly insulted with such heavy-handed writing, so that tempered my reaction to the final scene in the morgue. Despite the obvious premise, I was touched by her tearful plea, "Please ask me for help." Although I got a little uncomfortable with how long it went on. Any longer, and it would have hinted at necrophilia"”yeek.

Tru/Harris: Not needed. The scene was frivolous, mere eye-candy. Once again, the sexual tension between the actors ruins the "sibling" concept pretty much.

Tru/Lyndsay: Chat much? Again, I thought this was unnecessary and added almost nothing to the plot. So far, Lyndsay seems intrusive to the series. So they went shopping, big deal. Tru needs friends, yes, but so far there's no fizzle with this "friend."

Tru/Unbelievably Hot-N-Sexy Prof: Besides how gorgeous he was, I cared not much for the sexy-prof dumping. (They're never that gorgeous in real life, alas) I knew nothing about him, so could not feel sad or happy that Tru decided to dump him. I did, however, like the remark, "You had your day." Too cool.

Tru/Davis: Ahhh. The highlight of the show for me. I'm weird, and have weird tastes, so I totally dig Davis. Being a girl geek, I'm attracted to my species. So far, they are the only two characters onscreen that have any real chemistry. I totally loved his "do you ever leave here?" comment and her snappy return, "do you?" Come on, he totally wants her. What horny morgue geek wouldn't want Tru? 😉

The writers need desperately to bang out some new ideas pronto, and think of some other way to cap the ends of the show then always opening and closing with the morgue. Sooner or later, Tru getting spooked by stiffs every night is going to get old.

Agree, disagree? Thoughts?

Sorry, my intro got cut off.

I just wanted to add that I am somewhat sarcastic, and do not mean to offend anyone. Please take all I say with a huge grain of salt, as I am full of B.S. and no real authority.

Thanks.

It was a good episode. It was so sad at the end. I really wanted him to say something to Tru. I knew that he wouldn't since the show only had a few more minutes, but maybe his only wish was to save the little girl.

I'm a huge B.S er myself 🙂

I'm glad she saved only the little girl...if she saved him too, it would have been too predictable

Yea, I am also a bit happy she couldn't save him too....though i did like nick....Tru now realizes that everyone can't be saved...and some of the people in the morgue are meant to be there.

Exactly!!! I think it just added some emotional upheaval too, ya know. I mean...she was falling for him, and then she couldn't save him. Life isn't perfect, so I hate when TV tries to make it that way. So, that's why I'm glad Nick couldn't be saved.

Yes, I agree...I hate when they make tv shows so cheesy that when something happens you say "yea right, that would never happen!"....having Nick die, though tragic, made the end better...I think if he would have lived, it would have made it that much more predictable.

I'd have to agree with you. It's no fun to watch if the show becomes so predictable that she saves everyone everytime. What would be the excitement in that?

But I do wish (a little) that she could have saved Nick. It would have been interesting to see where their relationship would have went. Oh well. 🙂

Yea, i wish they could've shown that she couldn't save everyone on a different episode and maybe killed off someone else, instead of him...but it's not my choice, so i guess we will have to just deal.

Yeah and at least they killed him off in his first episode instead of keeping him around for a while (and having us really like him) and THEN kill him off.

Oh well, I'm sure there will be another guy. 😉

yea, i didn't even think of it that way.....it would've really sucked if they would have let us get attached to him....then we really would've been sad to see him go.

Yep. I know I cried at the end of the episode (geeze), so I can only imagine what I'd be like if they allowed him to live and then killed him off later. 😛
