For discussion of this episode after it airs in the US.

from tivo programming guide:

Tru must race aginst time to prevent her brother, Harrison, from being implicated in the death of a man when he falls in love with the victim's estranged wife.

Ah, I did like this episode. You get to see the sensitive side of Tru and how she doesn't want to lose her family more than she already has. She really does love her brother and sister, even if she says she's already lost Meredith. I liked the twist about how Sarah was setting up Harrison. That adds a bit of excitement to it. Here, here for another good episode! ^_^

LoL oops I just made a thread about this lol...sorry I didnt see this. But yea this episode was really good I was very into it, I hope they dont cancel it man..cause this show could grow to be so awsome..

This was better than last week's show, I was really into this one. Like anticipating the commercail breaks to see what was going to happen...but yea "Brother's keeper" has been my fav out of the three. What do you guys think?

I enjoyed this episode the most. I love this show, because even though I'm a hardcor Charmed and Buffy fan, it brings semblance to normal life instead of demons every week---and it still appeals to the sci-fi girl in me!!! "Brother's Keeper" was kick arse!

sleep?

my question, does tru ever sleep??
just realized on this episode, she always wakes up the same morning and goes all day, and night.

Sorry had 2 throw that in there!

WOW!!!! THAT WAS AMAZING!!! 20 min lefts and these girls came in wanting to watch CSI at 9 (I live in a dorm, uni) and they got so wrapped into Tru Calling....I loved it and Harrison is so hot!!! Loved how we got to learn more about Tru, personally...GREAT EP!!!

I really loved this episode. I'd rank it in between "Putting Out Fires" and the pilot. It was definitely good stuff.

I love this show!

I loved the whole Tru/Harrison dynamic. It was very sweet and powerful. Great acting too! Of course.

I made someone watch with me who'd never seen it before, and they liked the show concept and all. But their favorite part was Tru's relationship with her brother. Thought I'd share.

IF Tru actually ever sleeps, I don't know when that would be. I mean, it's the graveyard shift. Works all night. Up all day. I guess she can live on just 1 hour sleep and still manage to be all beautiful. Fine by me. The show still rocks my socks.

I really liked this ep. About midway through I was getting disappointed because it was obvious the girl was lying about being beaten, but then the ending! I was like "No way!" lol

Really great ep altogether 🙂 Made me like the show even more 🙂

One question though: why does Tru keep going back to the Morgue to look for the body after she goes back in time? I hope they stop that soon cause it will get old quickly. Although I suspect the first ep they run a little long on filming that kind of scene will get axed lol

lol! Seriously. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Actually, I didn't just think it. I literally shouted it out loud, "Why is she there again? Must she check for the body EVERY time? It ain't there! She knows it."

Oh! You know what I really liked? She didn't take her time trying to figure out or prove to herself that it was a repeat day. She just woke up and knew. That was it. Sort of, "I know the drill" type thing.

The whole ep. was like "Okay, this is my thing. I get it now."

I'm obsessing over this show, and that's very, very scary because, well, we all know FOX.

yeah I'm really happy they passed over the "ohhh my god I'm back in time!" bit. It was bound to happen, I'm just glad they did it sooner than annoyingy later!

like everyone else, I really enjoyed this ep, and for some strange reason kept hating Eliza cuz she has the most beautiful hair!! grrrr lol. anyway...

the ending totally had me duped. I mean I knew that yucky girl was lying, but I honestly thought that Tru called her brother to convince him to meet up with her at the resteraunt instead of that guy. When he stood up I was like "aahaha!! *****'s goin DOWN!"

And I've also come to the conclusion that Eliza's chin quivering when she's about to cry is just.....wrong. Cuz I wanted to cry too after that. I was like "I'm gonna cry, no Tru Stop!" and my friends were like "oh god!"

All in all-favorite ep and I'm really liking Feldman as the creater/writer type deal. No replacement for Joss, but he's up there😉

Yeah, she's already heard three corpses now asking for her help. She knows she's re-living the day, so therefore, she should know that the body isn't going to be in the morgue.

Ah, and on the question if Tru sleeps. I do believe she does. I'm not sure what time she works until in the morgue, but she sleeps through the early parts of the morning and in this episode, Harrison woke her up by calling her. That is why they always have brunch instead of breakfast, because Tru needs to sleep.

Yea....she probably sleeps till the afternoon most days....she only gets up and goes all day when someone asks for help...which she said last night "doesn't happen every day"....thats the only time she has to get up and live a hard day and then go to work (when he is saving people)...her normal days she prbably just sleeps till whenever.

I loved this episode it was just right. The guy asking for help and having them arrest the Sarah was great.I loved when their at the bar (Harrison and Tru) and Tru begins to say what will happen next the waiter, the guy hopelessly in love and the phone ringing.Just overall great! Tru calling that guy to wear a bulletproof vest was a great idea too. I honestly thought he died.Sarah was just annoying.

But I got a question...If her husband didn't give her that scar on her back, who did?

Again, liked the family chemistry. As different as Tru, Harrison, and Meredith are, as troubled as their relationships as a family are, they do always seem to manage to be there for one another...to trust one another when it matters.

It's nice that despite Meredith's complaining she always indulges Tru's 'research' and despite Harrison's rebellious streak he does listen in the end.

Another great episode.

i also loved this episode!!! i didnt think i would like it and i actually enjoyed it more than the last epi..!!

Does Tru sleep? I've made a study- okay, I re-watched the episodes and looked at the clocks. She must divide her sleep on a normal day. Here's why.

In the pilot, she was at Rebecca's apartment at 10 pm, but at the Morgue at 10:55 pm, when the cancer patient came in. So, her shift must start at 10:30 pm.

Her rewound days always (all three times) start at 8 am, so she must normally be home and in bed by then, otherwise she would rewind to a different location, but the same time.

So, if her shift is eight hours, it ends at 6:30 am and she would be in bed at the earliest at 7 am. If she has a shorter shift (six hours), she would still be in bed at 5 am at the earliest.

In Putting Out the Fires, she had brunch with Harrison at about 10:30 am. (Harrison being a night owl too, he would not have made Tru get up earlier than normal to have brunch with him.) Therefore, she slept, at most, five hours between 5 am and 10 am.

So, I'm betting that on a regular day, she has to nap in the afternoon.

Hey everyone!

I really liked last night as well. I felt that the actors felt MUCH more confortable in their roles in 1.03

The entire flow of this episode seemed smooth, and well thought out. They are really finding their feet.

I really liked this eppy. I thought the actors and actresses did a wonderful job. My cousin sat down and actually watched it too, she loved it and can't wait for next weeks.

I loved this episode. I felt sorry for Harrison though ;_; Stupid Sarah. I got 4 people to watch it! Yay for me! lol

I really enjoyed this ep as well. Seems Shawn and Eliza have great dynamics and chemistry as bro/sis.
I totally had Sarah figured out as being shady and setting Harrison up, but the phone call threw me for a loop, I so thought she had called her brother too!
My guess on why she goes to the morgue everytime is cuz, she's still coming to terms with her 'calling' and therefore wants to see if she's for sure reliving the day. just a guess, or a theory.
also, does anyone else find it hilarious that everytime Tru wakes up to answer the phone, she breaks something? LOL !! and i thought i was a klutz! haha!
