Discussion of 1.06 "Star Crossed"

well i just watched episode 6 about an hour ago....this one was great too...the episodes just keep gettin' better, and wow was i laughing when Tru walked in on Lindsay and Harrison...it was great.
 
I also wached it an hour ago, and i loved it! Tecker your right the show just keeps on getting better and better! and the part with lindsay and harrison was a good one! I guess you hate those you love!😛 (did that make sense??) anyways I thought it was a really good epi! hope they keep up the good work!

One of those girls - the one who played Jen - is my favorite actress (see signature below). She was great! It's so nice to see her in a new role again. The pics in the sig below, btw, are vid-caps of her character from the trailer of tonight's episode.

Anyhow, good show. It's my first time watching. I'll definitely have to catch more episodes when I have the time.
 
I really liked this epi, and I also agree about Harrison and Lindsay, that was great, wonder what's gonna happen now eh? well can't wait for next weeks epi!
 
yea..darkweaver, that actress that played jen did look familiar...what else was she in?.....i don't know what will happen with harrison and lindsay, but i like both of them so it should be good....plus that should mean that we get to see more of them... this show is just great because the entire cast is fun to watch...even though tru is great, so is the rest of the cast, and that makes for a great show.....great epi too.
 
did it start off at all with davis talking to tru? i havent seen the epi cause i was out but i left it taping hopefully it worked the vcr that is hahaa!!
 
I missed the beginning of the episode and I'm totally bummed out! Could someone fill me in on how Davis knows about Tru's gift?

I thought this episode was excellent. Though I'm still confused on the whole Davis situation. I'd love for Tru and Davis to get together! He's got such a crush on her~! Anyway, the episode rocked my socks. I love the way they pay so much attention to the small things, like the necklace. And I SO didn't see the whole lesbian thing coming. At all. But, still, great episode.

Oh, and every time someone asks Tru for her help, it scares the hell out of me.
 
Scares you, My god. For this one, i was so in the episode at the start that even tought i knowed that it would do the SAVE ME thing, i just Jumped right off my couch like i rarely do 😉 The sound was loud too so it helped 😉 😛

I really enjoyed this weeks episode, as i've said before, this show gets better and better every week. i'm glad they've gotten some good writers.
the girls being together was a twist! i so didnt' see it coming at all. and i cracked up so hard at lindsay and harrison's hookup! why the hell were they at Tru's apartment rather than one of their own homes? LOL
and green is a good color on eliza 🙂
 
OMG?! Where to begin? This episode rocked my socks! (or something to that extent at the very least!) I have to agree and say that each episode keeps getting better and better! I LOVE this show! 😀

The whole twist they keep doing toward the end of the story is ALWAYS surprising me! I thought the boy and girl dying together were in love! Was I surprised to see that it wasn't the old story but a new spin on it. Glad the two girls were able to get together, but like Tru said, they now have to face their family. I wonder if they will retouch on the couple as well as Rebecca later on in the series?

I've been watching Tru Calling since it debuted and have to say that each episode outdoes the one before it in story telling and surprising! Eliza does a great job in this role! 🙂

yea...well as i have said before i agree with u guys the show does keep getting better.....and i was also wondering why Lindsay and Harrison were at Tru's and not at their apartments or houses...whatever they live in......i can't wait till next week....and did davis say how he knew....or just that he knew?.....i saw the entire episode i am just not sure about how he knows.
 
I'm not sure if the first few minutes of the show picked up after last week's episode or not but what he said to Tru was this: "Do you think I haven't noticed the decrease in deaths since you arrived here?" (or something to that extent). He knows but exactly how much is questionable.
 
They didn't explain "how" he knows. He basically just told her that he knows and he made that comment about noticing the decrease in the death rate. So, I guess you could kind of take that as a "how." But I think there's more to it.

I loved the ep. Definitely a great one.

LOVED Lindsay and Harrison. I like this. (The storyline.) I hope the writers do something with it and keep it up somehow. Only explanation I have for their going to Tru's is maybe they thought it'd be kinky. lol

Only thing I continue not to like is this thing with Luc. I don't like that they're trying to push Tru into a relationship so early into the show. (Except, if it had been the fireman.) But seriously, she's had 3 "boyfriends" already, and we're not even half way through the season. Plus, I just don't see any real chemistry. Not seeing any fireworks or explosions anyway.
 
Beckinsale! OMG! u said exactly what i said when they first introduced Luc into the plotline. i said wow, its only the 4th episode and Tru has already had 3 love interests! they are trying too much to play the romance card for her. i think she should just be single. IMO anyway...

You'd probably most remember her as 'Becca' from The Ring, the girl who talked about the video tape at the beginning of the movie who later ends up in the mental ward after seeing her friend die.
