Discussion of 1.07 "The Morning After" - Airdate 12/18/03

😱 😱 😱 whoa....i hope to see tonight and the preview..!!! that should be very interesting...!!!

I missed the Star-Crossed episode last night! I totally forgot about it, but this one sounds good! (I just hope she didn't kill him or something...and is this ex-boyfriend that one that cheated on her in the beginning?)

yeah, it's the professor she was dating that she caught cheating on her. I hope she's not the one that kills him, I don't think she's really got it in her to do it. But to wake up next to him, that would mess me up bigtime!!

i bet it was someone else and was trying to frame her for some reason....so anyone can tell me what explanation davis gave?

Yea....i'm also not sure Tru could actually kill him.....it's not like she was still mad and wanted to hurt him....i mean she said what she needed to say to him the day she found out....and she has Luc's interest now....i just don't think she is still hurt enough to kill him.....she might be getting framed as BRISA said.

I'm wondering how airing this episode out of order is going to affect the continuing plot lines?

Morning After is episode 8. Episode 7 is Closure, and it was pushed back to January 8th.

Fox even acknowledged they're airing them out of order:

Star Crossed -

Morning After - http://www.fox.com/schedule/showinfo/tru/tru_108.htm

Messing with the order episodes aired in destroyed Firefly. Although airing a better episode at this critical time is a good idea, I can't see how they can flip-flop episodes with everything going on in the show with finding out what Davis knows about Tru's powers, Tru/Luc, Lindsay/Harrison and so forth.

Murdering someone, perhaps accidently, is so much Faith territory, that it's going to be very hard to avoid comparisons. And the promo looks like Eliza is doing a bit of overacting. Which would be very difficult to not do when trying to make Tru different than Faith, especially when Faith was so much more subtle. I wish they'd waiting later in the season to do this episode.

It didn't really come off as over acting to me but then I only got to see the preview for a few split seconds. Since watching I can Tru as a different character than Faith. SHe looked genuine terrfied when her ex grabbed her. Faith would have slugged him and kicked him and rollled him into the gutter. 😀

Promo/Trailer

hey i really really want to see the trailer/promo for this episode!!! as the sypnosis of this episode sounds really cool!! so can "SOMEBODY HELP ME"!!

yea it does look good....i didn't know this one was being shown out of order...i'm also kinda curious as to how they are able to do that....i would think that it would screw up the story line...i guess we will have to see....one more day till the next ep!!....yay!!

Wow,this was a great epsiode! I really enjoyed it as oppose to the other ones which are great too! For a second I thought maybe sweet ol'Luce. But nope,he's kind a main character so theres no way it could have been him. But the second time when Tru told blondie the way to the ally I knew it was him. He was short and he looked suspeious(sp?) to me.

I love Luce and Tru together their so cute! I hope they last for awhile and she soon tells him about the calling.

Overall, this was another great episode.

I understand now why everyone was acting so strange this episode, if they skipped one. Will FOX never learn?

Davis didn't seem in love at all. Maybe he just does want to help be a super hero, or maybe he just accepted that Tru doesn't like him that way. Lindsey and Harrison acted like this could have been the next episode though. And where was Davis when Tru was confronting the killer? That's what he was there for. He was supposed to be helping watch the ex, so where was he? I knew that guy broke the vase on purpose. When they showed the first flash back of it, you could tell he was shoving it to the ground. That didn't make me figure it out, though. I'll bet my sister will figure it out when we watch my tape this weekend. Tru went back to accusing the other ex girlfriend without proof. She's kind of rude. She really should make sure she's right before she goes mouthing off to people!! I thought she had learned her lesson! It looks like they are going to do the on again off again thing with Lindsey and Harrison. It's all right to have one of those, but they always over do that. The part I liked least about Buffy was when everyone was broken up, and depressed. Someone has to be happy!

I watched a Buffy episode right after that had Faith in it. Watching them back to back was really weird, but it was a good thing to do. I could see the difference between the characters. It made me think that Eliza made the right choice. She needed to do something different.

That's all I can think of for now.

I just love the thing with Tru and Davis. When he said "No! you have to have the party!" I was like yeh Davis you just want the party so you can come lol. Has andyone noticed that Meridth hasn't been in the past 2 eppis? I don't like her all that much but shes as important as most characters. The Lindsay and Harrison thing isn't goin in the direction I expected like I thought they would be totaly all over each other but now its just awkward. When Tru walked out the door to go on the roof to talk to her ex I was hoping Davis would follow her but no? I kinda feel sorry for Davis that he has to just settle helping Tru and watch her go with Luke. Thats about all I thought of this Eppi. Who caught the preview for the new one? I CANT WAIT 3 WEEKS TO SEE IT! lol

"Let me get this straight, you had a party and u didn't invite me??"-Davis

Fave quote from this eepi ^_^.

i figured it out when the guy said some professor didnt let me take the retest or something like that..!! i was like ohhhhhhhhh!!!! i know now hahahha!! good episode..!!

did anyone else notice...

I just loved how when she said goodbye to Davis she referred to him as "D" as in "see ya later D" - Go Faith!

I noticed that too. But I thought I was hearing things. I asked the person that was watching with me. "Did she say D?? She said D!! Ha! That's funny."

That was a really cool episode... I like Davis, he's sweet, and I keep feeling bad for how her going back in time keeps wreaking havoc with her relationship with Lucas, he's so cute.

I also liked how unlike in many of the eps, her first 'save' ends up wrong, this time it wasn't... it was that guy who tried to kill her ex... I suspected him from the start. Tru's neighbor was funny too, what a weirdo... *L*
