Hmmm so we are finally seeing some of Brennan's past!!! 🙂 Aside from her ex taking the TV that one time we haven't really seen much! 🙂

OK, so they finally addressed Bones's robotic nature, got her to open up a little. Kinda like the chick in The Inside. A traumatic past (parents were offed, in this case), so she became an investigator, got it.

Bones's cluelessness about the celebratory knuckle crack greeting thing was good stuff. And the jurors nodding off...heh.

I felt like one of those jurors watching the episode - nodding off during the boring parts (didn't like the romance) then reviving to rapt attention when things got interesting.

Yeah, they won. Bones ended up inadvertantly beating her old professor at his own game"”by persuasion, creating an emotional bond with the jury by (reluctantly) humanizing herself and the victim.
