Discussion of 1.09 "The Man in the Fallout Shelter" - Airing 12/13/05 (FOX-US)

We finally got to see this in the UK last night. It has to be my favourite ep of Bones so far...OK, it was a cheesey, schmaltzy Christmas ep but I'm just a big softy at heart. The ending was really sweet but stopped just short of being sickly and DB stoned on the anti-fungal drug caused a quiet chuckle.
What was the thing about Angela's dad being famous? Unless he was a member of ZZ Top, I didn't get it...
So far, I don't think Bones is one of my must-see programmes but it's not a bad way of passing an hour...Mrs P is over-the-moon about her weekly dose of DB being restored 🙂
Edit - Ha! Just checked on IMDb...Angela's dad was indeed played by Top guitar player Billy Gibbons, so I did get it🙂 Who on Earth (except for old gits like me) recognises members of ZZ Top these days? 😉

I LOVED this episode.
OK, the absolute end didnt do anything for me, i like chrimbo schmaltz but i havce seen the Smallville Christmas episode, the ER christmas episode, a Simpsons Chrimbo episode and My Name is Earl Christmas epi this week and as its bloomin March i kinda wanted to vomit...LOL
OK, rant over, As soon as i saw the beard i was 'ZZ Top', but wasnt quite sure, i even doubted myself and thought she was making a Santa Funny, but thanx Mr P, my first instinct was correct(i'm 23 but love ZZ - Gimme all YOUR loving Angela...hmmmmmmmm).
The connections between this crew arestarting to show, i must admit its taken a while but after the last few i can honestly say its a mustn't miss show...if it was must see then i would have to watch on Thursday, however i can wait until sunday.......David was awesome when he was high...i'm starting to get a tad annoyed with two things in the show.
1) I don't know what that means - We get it for gosh sakes, she doesnt watch trash TV or go to the cinema...
2) Her parents, i get thats a big part of her character, but it seems every gosh darned week its forced down our throats that her parents just disappeared.......

DB getting all high was freaking hilarious! and i love the scene where he had his pants around his ankles! 😉
although, i have to admit, after seeing him in nothing but a towel around his waist, i have a little crush on Jack!
the gift giving scene i thought was very sweet, watching everyone receive their gifts and realizing that maybe they know each other better than they thought.
as for Angela's father...i had no idea who he was and spent the rest of the ep going 'who the hell is he supposed to be?' so thanks for the expliantion Mr. P! i blame my youth for not knowing who he was!
