Discussion of 1.11 "The Longest Day" (Fox-US)

*waits for 8 o'clock to come*

Can't wait to see this epi....

*looks at watch*

Dear lord, only 2:12...

*sigh*

my DVD recorder anxiously awaits...I will jump in at about 25 minutes past the hour so I can "skip" all of the commercials 😛 and finish at about the same time.

to the person with the dvd recorder..

you wouldn't happen to know where i could find "reunion" would you? i went to go see the screening of the butterfly effect and forgot to record it. :/

I have it on DVD, but can't be easily emailed (or downloaded). I only have 2, 8, 9, 10, 11 (recording now). I am hoping that they will air re-runs of the others so I can snag them, too.

Without a shadow of a doubt todays eppy was The Longest Day... 4 me The Longest Hour and I mean it... lol... It was cool though, different episodes, diferent stories... They're gettin better week by week

The episode to miss

While entertaining, if you are going to miss an episode, this is the one. I think FOX should have left this episode on the cutting room floor. Here's why:

You lose the suspense in all future episodes. We have learned today that if the wrong person dies (or dies in the wrong way), the day will just repeat itself. Although, you know in the end Tru will prevail, the suspense of the series is now gone for me.

Good episode, would have been better to place it at the end of the season.

hmmm... this episode kinda reminds me a little of that one episode in 7 Days...

he kept reliving the last few hours (which always ended in his boss being shot dead)...
he kept going back trying to do all the things he needed to faster, and faster, until he was finally able to save his boss..

he had to do several things all the way across town from where he started to try to get there in time to save him, but if he screwed up, others might end up dead, thus needing to go back and redo it all over again until he got it "right" finally..

the 2nd to last person to die was the little girl... even if Tru got the med's to her, it woulnd't have helped... her heart just gave out... so she asked for help and the day repeated..

then she talked to the dad and convinced him to call the wife and have her take the daughter to the hospital..
RIGHT after that, a guy came up and tried to rob him at knife point (with Tru there, and since they were both at the ATM machine)..
Tru tried to give him the necklace, but then the dad tried to knock out the robber, but the robber stabbed the dad..

so then they had to take the dad to the hospital from multiple stab wounds.. turns out it was the SAME hospital ER room where the daughter was just having heart issues...

the dad died, and the daughter at about the same time...
Tru had heard the nurses say about the dad had O-negative blood and she noticed that the stab wounds wouldn't affect his heart (like the bullet wound previously had been in his chest)...

she realized that he could give his heart to save the daughter, so she told him as his last breaths that his daughter was going to live a long happy life, and then he died, and they started to get the team in there to do the heart transplant to the daughter 🙂

the preview showed that it's something about paper hearts on the victims of murders or something like that... she stops one killing, but the murderer just kills someone different... something to that effect..

there's more specific spoiler info in the spoiler section of this board (main page in Tru Calling section under "Spoilers").. here's a link to Valentine spoiler: http://www.trucalling.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5655

I wonder if they aired this show this week because it was close to ground hog's day.

Remember Bill Murray, had to re-live ground hog day over and over until he got it right....just a thought.
