I was really surprised that Bones doesn't want any kids!

How awful that the mercenaries cut off his finger. That's just wrong, he's a kid!
 
I think I loved this ep (or ok I just love this show I guess), but I could not love Brennan more, really.. And I do think she might change her mind about the having children thing.. I know that obviously not everyone wants that but.. I dunno, I think she's the kind of person who could change her mind on that..
 
That's true. And then again, some people just know they don't want kids ever, you know? At the end of the ep, when they'd found the boy, it seemed like she might change her mind. I think seeing what happened to him (even tho it was ultimately a happy ending) just reinforced her desire to not have kids. She even says to Booth something along the lines of, "Why would anyone want to bring a kid into this screwed up world?" Plus, because of what happened to her parents, she might be afraid of having a child and then something happens to her, and then the child would be alone, like she was. She did, however, have compassion for Booth's feelings about finding this little boy, which I thought showed her human side a little bit.
 
I think this is my favourite episode so far. I absolutely bawled my eyes out at the end because it shocked me so much that they could do that to a child. I think that Bones will change her mind about kids she showed some compassion as the episode wore on, although the way she said to that guy, 'i'm sorry, it's because he's a father' at the end made me change my mind again.

The question on my lips was who is the man that the investigator mentioned and why is it so top secret. If it meant all the investigator's files had to be taken away it must be something bad! I thought it was cool, how Bones ignored the question and picked up the phone... brilliant TV.

This show is growing on me. It's taken me a while to get into it but now I'm hooked.
