Tru Calling can rip off Groundhogs Day, Flatliners, John Q and any other movie they like - but directly ripping off
The X-Files episode Paper Hearts like that is just going too far. That shot in the promo seems straight out of X-Files. It's a little different situation, but a lot of X-Files fans are going to be pissed off. A lot of people love that episode. In comparison, this episode is more of a rip-off of every single serial killer horror flicks with the girls running in the wood screaming, but I can't believe any show would have the audacity to rip off Paper Hearts so blatantly like this.

I can't wait to see it! and don't worry Faith_Forever, everyone rips off everyone! just look at the music show business! it's the same on tv,movie and real life!

Not every show does the extent of the copying that Tru does. In part I think it's due to Doug Petrie, since he loves doing that.
It's one thing to do a take-of or something similar, it's another thing to have little hearts in a baggy that look identical to something straight out of another Fox show.
Considering how much Tru is being criticized by tv critics for being so unoriginal, it's makes it worse when they do things like this. There are so many other ways they could do the same concept without being identical to the X-Files. It's like they're asking for more negative reviews.
