Discussion of 1.14 "Daddy's Girl" - Airing 3/25/04

ohhh i see... he died before. previews/trailers these days say a bit too much. and throughout this show FBR's video is going to come out for "Can Somebody Help Me" which is the theme song. Can't wait to see this episode because it seems we get to learn a bit more on Tru don't u think?

man.... crazy episode 😱

more like her DAD turned out to be the "bad guy" in this one..

but Jason's character does sound like he's gonna be a trouble maker for Tru... wanting people to die "when it's their time".. kinda goes against what Tru's trying to save them and stuff..
 
maybe not, he said sometimes it is best not to help the living stay alive (or something to that effect). Tru is helping the dead come back to life.

But then was he talking about himself when he said people shouldn't be hooked up to machines to keep them alive?

I do agree that Tru's dad was the "bad guy" all around. Including his acting. Just didn't convince me that he really was being "real" with his kids. Seemed like it all was an act. Even at the end when he fired a "warning shot."
 
I just watched the episode last night and I loved it. I knew, well had a feeling that her dad hired that guy to kill her mom. I was really scared when he almost killed Tru. I knew someone was going to save her though. I liked how Tru and Stepmother were getting close. I was really mad that Tru's dad was a bad guy and I'm so mad that he didn't really shoot the guy!
 
I have a question...did they say why Gardez was gone...maybe I just didn't catch it but it was odd how he was just not there and they had to hire a new guy...Did they give any reason as to the why and where Gardez had gone?
 
I loved this eppisod! it was awesom!1 I really liked it! the part about the Dad being the bad guy was cool! (although sad for him). It's awful that he ired a guy to do such a thing!
I think the part I admired the most in the eppi(well not admire but thought was good thinking) was the fact that when her dad is their Tru feels a bit like a kid again which happens to a lot of people when they grow up without seeing much of one of their parents some people will feal like kids when they see them a gain (hope I didn't loose you now!)

Well I think this eppi is going with my fav! (right up their with High school reunion and the second eppi which I can't remember the name for the moment!) 😛

ps: I don't think they said that Gardez had left I think he was just gone! POOF!
 
I didn't see this episode either and I am DYING!!!! Does anyone know if there will be a rerun? I doubt it, but I haven't read any really decent Episode guides. Did Jack say anything new i need to know about her mother?

I am sad that he is a bad guy, I was hoping he would be a new love interest for Tru. Since Luc isn't workin' out. lol

I really really liked this Ep JP i like his charecter already1 ALOT of UST between him and tru i can see it now! And Daddy is very very bad. 🙁
 
While I liked this episode, I felt that there was something missing...

I didn't like how after Harrison finds out that it is the guy that killed their mother that he just disappears for the rest of the episode. I know he was supposedly watching Jordan but he and Tru are so close since he knows her powers that I figured he'd do more...

I guess that the focus was on the father-daughter angle but I really missed Harrison not being included in the last quarter of the show.
