When Fred (Amy Acker) opens up an ancient sarcophagus that was anonymously sent to her, she is infected by a mysterious, parasitic demon called Illyria. When Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) learn that Illyria is an ancient demon who existed before recorded time, they must return her to the demon burial ground before she kills Fred and thousands of other innocent victims.

Holy majoley we're going back two seasons! 😛

Anyway it is a good episode, full of Whedon-style angst!
 
I am looking forward to this episode, I can feel I will shred a lot of tears.
 
Ive seen this episode, mainly because I couldnt wait, and I gotta say, its one of the most brilliant episodes Ive ever seen!
Well done Joss, and your...brain...
 
This episode was very emotional for me, and I cried especially for Fred.
It was sad to see her go, and I think Wesley is the one that is going to get hit the hardest from this, him, and Gunn, sinse at a point Gunn once did love Fred.
 
This episode sounds like it's gonna be good. Can't wait! Poor Fred!
 
Wow! That was a bit different to last week's ep (Smile Time).
A very moving ep with great performances all round - especially from Amy, Alexis and Andy (all the A's🙂) There were also some nice Spike/Angel moments (the plane scene being my fave). And now I finally understand the "cavemen vs. astronauts" post from a few weeks back😉 I can't wait to see how this turns out...

I've gotta start using W&H Airways - four hours from LA to the Cotswolds is fast🙂

I thought this was an *excellent* ep, outstanding performances all round. Amy especially standing out with all the good perfromancing lol 🙂

didnt "England" look just like that place in season 3 where they buried Holtz while saying "wow this looks just like england"

I suspect there is a corner of Southern California that will be "forever England"🙂 (A little corner of the Skywalker ranch for outdoors and a lot at Universal for indoors😉)
 
OMG this episode was excellent!!! i thought that Amy was great in this episode!!
it was by far the best episode of season 5!! 😀 *thumbs up*
 
I didn't cry at all....I'm a cold man!! ::evil1::

Knox,never liked him so I'm glad he's dead....Gunn will probably go mad now so will Denisof but at least Amy Acker is still there!!I was afraid she'd disappear completely... ::nono1::

A lovely piece of philosophy by Joss,the old cirlce of life refracting on itself endlessly...A hole from one side to the next....it was rather low-key I thought in the end,understated and graceful.....I'd love if we didn't have a fight in every episode though!! ::kiss::
 
I loved it so much, i know what happens in the rest of the episdoes coz i accidentaly read spoilers, and then i couldn't look away.

I knew Knox was evil all along. Arrrggghhh! So annoying.

I thought the Fred and Wes scenes were excellent, especially when he's reading to her.

My fave part tho was definately when Lorne was talking to them at the top of the stairwell, and Fred started to sing. Omg that was horribl. Loved it so much.

Overrall i give it a 9/10, very touching episode.
