This is one of my favourite episodes of the season. It actually makes my top 3. I love Faith in Buffy's body, it's so epic. Especially the scene with Faith/Buffy and Spike, you just know that he actually sub-conciously has the hots for her from that moment on. It's so obvious on his face. James Marsters is absolutely fantastic. And I love all the different types of parts Sarah Michelle Gellar has had to play on this show and she gets them all perfect. But playing Faith was so the best. She had everything, just the way she moved was Faith-like. It was fantastic.

And I've said this before, but Spike remembers the conversation word-for-word three years later when he actually meets Faith in the flesh. So yeah, it made quite an impact!

love this episode. smg is excellent, and very sexy. i love how faith's interactions with the people in buffy's life highlight how unhappy and insecure a person she is, esp with riley and joyce. a real good insight into the character of faith brilliantly acted by sarah michelle gellar lol. definitely a favourite of the season

Who Are You
In the season 4 episode "Who Are You" After Buffy and Faith switch bodies, Faith is in the airport about to board a flight. She sees that vampires have taken over a church and she knows she has to do something. When she gets inside a vampire wearing a red flannel shirt says she must be the slayer. Faith responds "The one and only".
She also says that killing the people would be wrong. (A phrase she practiced in Buffy's bathroom after taking a bath in the previous episode This Years Girl). Personally, At this point I think Faith realizes that Buffy IS the slayer. She's been so obsessed with ruining Buffy's life up until this point. I think Faith realized that what Buffy was doing was for the greater good. She chose to go to the church because she knew it was what Buffy would do. In doing this she realized that she killed someone. She took an innocent man's life and it was coming back to haunt her.
Buffy arrives and the girls start fighting. Faith gets Buffy on the ground hitting her furiously because she see's herself. While hitting her she says "Shut up. Do you think I'm afraid of you? You're nothing! Disgusting! Murderous bitch! You're nothing! You're disgusting!"
I think this experience opened her eyes which ties in to Faith returning in Season 7 as an Allie to Buffy.

I feel the same way. When Faith was cursing those things on Buffy, I knew she was really saying it to herself, and I felt the pain she was going through. I'm glad that Faith came back in season 7.

I never really thought about it like that before when I first saw the episode, but now reading that I have to agree on that, I need to watch this episode again, but I do agree that Faith realizes that what she's done is wrong...

Yeah, this episode is when I really start to feel for Faith. Obviously I love the Spike and Buffy/Faith moment. My jaw literally dropped the first time I saw that scene and I had to rewind it to make sure it actually happened.
And when Faith is beating the crap out of her own body is an amazing scene. She really does hate herself then. I think it finally dawns on her what she could have been and how sharply that contrasts with what she has become and it really has a profound effect on her.
SMG was awesome in this ep but I really thought Eliza was great too. She was way cute as Buffy.

This is definitely one of the best eps hands down. First the scene with Spike was just freakin hot.
However there are two scenes that I think truly make this episode one of the best. The first is when Fath/Buffy is captured by the Council's Spec Ops team, I think this scenes helps Buffy to realize just how difficult Faith's life is, and just how people tend to treat her.
The other scene is the one in the church, and I think that it shows Faith truly understanding and accepting the Slayers role for the first time in her life. Even when she was fighting on the side of Buffy and the gang she never truly understands what the Slayers role is, but in that scene she finally does. Another scene that I think sets up the events in the church, was when Buffy/Faith slays the vampire in the Bronze and that lady thanks her so profusely. I think this might be the first time that anyone had ever really thanked Faith for anything, and you can see that although it makes her uncomfortable she does really like it.

I thought this episode was good and really freaky lol Faith in Buffy's body was just soo weird lol The little speech to Spike was just brilliant lol 😀 I loved the part in the church when she stakes a vamp mid air while spinning, that was pretty cool! lol 😀 I do feel sorry for Faith though, she has issues and really needs help :S
Really good episode. SMG and Eliza had some amazing acting here. I guess this was the turning point for Faith. It was always known that she was jealous of Buffy, so when she actually get to be her she gets a little carried away and realizes that she was jealous because she wants to be Buffy. The scene with switched Buffy and Spike was very sexy... really got Spike... "mad" haha 😛
I like the scene where switched Faith goes to Giles' to tell him that she's actually Buffy, and Willow walks in and already knows lol!

Both SMG and Eliza did an amazing job at playing each other's characters.
I felt really sorry for Buffy (in Faith's body) when that Watcher guy spits at her and blames her for the decline of the Watcher's Council. I dont see why Faith should get the blame for that, it was Buffy that quit the Council making them all jobless. I love the scene were Buffy (in Faith's body) goes to Giles and she asks him to check its really her, and he asks her stupid questions and she says your checking for Buffy not amnesia!
I also felt sorry for Faith (in Buffy's body) when that girl thanks her for saving her life. It just highlights the life Faith should have had had she not gone all evil and I think that comes through in the last scene were Buffy and Faith are fighting and Faith is beating her body. She hates herself for the choices she's made. I also think its sweet after Faith sleeps with Riley and she questions what Riley wants with Buffy. Its like she's never had anyone she's been able to trust and she's trying to protect Buffy.
Its such a great episode.

As much as I don't really care for Riley's character, the Riley/Buufy/Faith scene was super sad. I mean, I get that this is the beginning of her starting to feel remorse for what she's done, but I felt terrible for Riley. It was such a sweet, tender and innocent moment where Riley was just expressing his love and she pushes him off of her telling him it's meaningless. Just absolutely sad.
