Taking over the Los Angeles offices of the supernatural law firm Wolfram and Hart proves to be more challenging than expected for Angel (David Boreanaz) and the gang, especially when their first case involves representing an evil client (guest star Rod Rowland) who threatens to destroy the city. As the gang settles into their new careers at the law firm, they meet new and familiar faces, including the mysterious Eve (guest star Sarah Thompson, "Boston Public"), who will act as Angel's liaison to Wolfram and Hart's senior partners, and the bubbly vampire Harmony (guest star Mercedes McNab) who is Angel's new assistant. Most surprising of all is the arrival of Angel's old nemesis and fellow vampire-with-a-soul, Spike (James Marsters, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), who makes a miraculous appearance.

We finally get to see Angel S5, I am just so looking forward too it!

Anyone seen the trailer on Sky One??I have and what can I say??I'm excited about Spike but David's hair is seriously freaking me out!!What's up with that??😛 It looks wrong....Like a dead ferret!!Let's hope he visits a barber in future......🙁

I've seen the trailer. Anyone else notice how all the tv guide descriptions say the episode ends with "the appearance of a familiar blonde" is that meant to make us say "Hmm, could be buffy"?

Anyway, looking forward to it, and Nip/Tuck which follows it.

Probably that's their target..They hope to boost the ratings...

It might do if Sky hadn't already spoilered their little legs off that
Spike was coming back
with their S**** theme night a couple of weeks back 😉 I put a spoiler in there but I'm pretty sure it's general knowledge to all Board members 🙂

Anyway - I can't wait to see what Angel Investigations does with W&H and what W&H does to them...

DXY, the only reason it is like that is because he just got off the set of his new movie. I personally don't mind it. But just so you don't lose faith, it does get tamed down as the episodes go on. 🙂

We (Mrs Pointy and I) enjoyed this ep - nice to see something new instead of the repeats. Will there be a separate section for UK discussion as there was last year? It saves me getting confused with spoilers and everything.

One thing I wasn't sure about was
Charles Gunn, Super Lawyer - I hope it doesn't mean he's going to stop hitting stuff 🙂. Also looking forward to the Mexican wrestler's story (masked guy pushing post trolley)
- that's what I mean about spoilers. If it was in a "UK Sky One eps - may contain spoilers" forum I wouldn't have felt the need to do that.

BTW this is not intended as a criticism - i just thought it was a good idea from last season that worked well.

Back to the ep - I was a bit peeved at Sky for transmitting in widescreen format - I think that most of us don't have widescreen TV's yet. It spoilt a couple of scenes for me
Gunn in the doctor's waiting room and Harmony's leg(!) at the end saying "Blondie Bear?"🙂

For the first time since the show began, i was almost completely spoiler free. And i must admit i enjoyed the premiere so much more for it.

The beginning was cool, very reminiscent of Angel's first ep "City Of" with rescue of the damsel in distress. His Batman-like getaway was spoiled majorly by the appearance of the W&H damage limitation squad. The look on Angel's face was priceless.

Everyone is getting used to the huge new offices, the family like atmosphere that they're trying to keep is slowly starting to change.

Fred was sweet when she was trying to deal with the phones (and Angel's attempt was just plain funny...ritual sacrificing 😉 ) and the look on his face when Harmony appeared as his secretary and she's trying to persuade him not to kill her.

Liked the new Gunn. It seems as though the black cat in the White Room was a conduit of sorts and Gunn understood him perfectly well. Loved the Gilbert and Sullivan lines too 😀 (When he offered to sing something from "Pirates of Penzance" for Lorne and surprised himself that he actually knew it ).

It's too early for me to form an impression of Eve. What's for sure is she certainly doesn't have the charismatically evil personality of Lilah. But i did like the scene where we were introduced to her (and the apple)

Cordelia was a big miss i thought too. She'd have probably loved working at W & H.

I must admit i did like this opening episode. Everything has changed, the show is much slicker, glossier even and the pace has changed. And the reappearance of Spike. I'm looking forward to the humour and the interaction that is bound to happen between he and Angel.

The humour was great, and the way that Angel, in typical male fashion waxed enthusiastically over the choice of cars that he had.

Looking forward to episode 2 🙂

Fred was absolutly out of this world, I love her in her new position, I loved her anyway but now she has that bit more, she looks hotter this season too.

Harmony is a great addition to the cast, I thought she was grand.

I enjoyed the season opener, and I assume I will love the rest of the season as it was a nifty episode!!!

It was very funny, I loved it.

I liked it! it was cool at the end and htye were talking about convitions, pure somethong rather.
But I wanted to know what the catch is, they didnt let eve explain it! And eve is weird very a strange flower, I wanna know whats up with her!
