Discussion of 5.09 "Harm's way" - Airdate 1/14/04 (US-WB)

THis was a hilarious lil' episode. I loved the W & H commercial during the teaser.

WOh, ur right, no "grr aarg!" That can't be good!

i must say that i really did enjoy this eppy. i laughed so much at harm, she is such a dork 🙂 but the fact that she felt uneeded and such was funny seeing as to how she is a vamp

but, all in all, great eppy

I now officially LOVE Harmony.

"Hey, I'm a right biter. I lean to the right. It couldn't have been me!"

hilarious. I have never noticed if other vamps on the show prefer certain sides.

And every time she added somebody to the closet was funny too.

But I think the best part was this: "I don't have a soul. I have to try a lot harder" oh yeah, stuff it Angel! (who by the way, just needs to get over it! what is his problem?)

and darn you Spike. why the heck are you not on that boat? I understand where you're coming from, but sometimes you're just a big bonehead.

i thought this episode was pretty good. I liked how it was all about Harmony, she deserved her own episode, it told alot about her character and everything.

Sometimes the show just gets to serious. We need to be pulled back a few paces so we can see everything that's going on. This show delivered that in spades! I LOVED the look at Angel from the 'outside'. He is one scary mofo when seen through the eyes of a W&H employee. I guess this is the Angel version of The Zeppo.

Best episode of the season IMO.

It was funny and touching, it really sucked me in, whereas in the other episode, I didn't feel that much involved with the characters. I like the new set up, but after watching this episode, I felt like Gunn, Wes and Lorne should be kicked off the show pronto, they have absolutly nothing to do here. Angel, Harm, Spike and Fred are the most important characters at the moment and the only ones with real story lines, although even Spike is questionable at the moment.

The Zeppo was great, but this was even better. It was an episode like episodes are meant to be. Especially the involvement with the characters, I understand now, is what I've missed last season on both Buffy and Angel. I hope they can keep up with it.

This episode was ok, no best-of-season material though.

I'm not so sure about Spike's reason to not go to Buffy, I hope it gets more developed.

Yeah, I agree that was pretty lame, but that was probably decided on by Joss and not the writers of this particular episode.

Omg, this ep was too funny!!😀 Harmony is just too crazy. You have the moments when you feel sorry for her and other moments when you want to ring her neck. 😛 I loved the other vamp that she was fighting named Tamika. She was bomb!!!😎 Her fighting style rocked and I almost thought that she was going to win, but Harmony got the upper hand.😉 I loved seeing a day in Harmony's life though. Her neighbor's dog really hates her. hehe

The episode was very very funny. Not teh best episode, but still funny. It's good to see Harmony get her own episode. i think she is a greta character. But Spike's reason for not going to find Buffy...I was a bit confused on that.

I was very surprised to find out how much I would enjoy this episode. It was a great exploration of Harmony's character and it also provided another peek into the backbone of Wolfram & Hart -namely the secretaries, assistants, etc.

Watching Angel in this episode made me realize how strongly he resembled his father. Watching Spike and Fred in this episode made me wonder why she is so focused upon acknowledging that both Knox and Wes are hot. Also, I found myself pondering on what it must have been for Harmony, working as Angel's assistant. Apparently, not as thrilling as many have been led to believe.

And why couldn't Spike drop a line to Buffy that he was still alive? Seems to me that he still believes that she doesn't care for him, and is now acting out of fear.

I have to say that this is the episode where I am finally seeing the season come together. I was worried (pissed, betrayed...) there for a while, but Harmony is hilarious. The fighting was great. The chop sticks were awesome. And, I must add, Spike was finally decent to her.

About the Legally Blonde feel, I agree. Harmony is so fun!

The W&H commercial sorta reminded me of the Babylon 5 news after Earth is taken over by Clark, or the Psi Corp commercials. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

this episode was just what i needed!

mercedes kicks!
