Discussion of 5.12 "You're Welcome" (WB-US)

What did U think about the 100th eppi?

I thought the 100th eppi was the best out of the 5th season. Ever since they got rid of Cordy, the episodes Kinda sucked. I was happy that she was in that eppi. I love Cordy's Scarcasim. it's great. " That name doesn't ring a bell." " Well it does for me. it rings a big giant goun." Lol.

But I wasn't happy what happened at the end though. I was so sad when they did that.
 
I loved the episode. I thought it had everything going for it...action, emotion, shock...great combo of everything to love in an Angel episode. The ending was extremely sad. I'm gonna miss Cordy muchly It's definitely one of my favorites from this season. I think the last 3 or 4 episodes have just been extremely awesome...looking forward to what's coming up!
 
I don't think Cordy will ever be back. I know Eve was only signed for a limited number of eps but then again, so was Spike on Buffy and look at what happened - we still have our Spikey every week.

I know that AD has said he is trying to talk AH into guesting. Did anyone get that now Wes is Willow when he was casting the spell and his eyes turned black?

i am so glad that i was so shocked at the ending of this episode cuz it means that i really care about the show. i really like the title of this episode too.

You had an epiphany. What a wonderful moment. I think that the reason we all get so worked up and argue about what things mean is because we are so passionate about the show, the characters, the writing....Hats off to Joss, a genius!!! ::snail:: ::snail:: ::snail::

But they have been using black eyes on people when using darkarts since season 1 of BTVS...in "The Witch"...Amy's mother has black eyes...in "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered", Amy's eyes turn black when she turns Buffy into the Buffyrat...and her eyes turn black again in "Gingerbread" when she attempts to turn the crowd into rats and accidentally makes herself the Amyrat.

Not literally. I meant it metaphorically. Like he's becoming the witch in the gang and that is Willow and it is so cool that they are married IRL and so....just thought it was very cool. And DF has said when he writes Angel eps, he pretends it is Buffy and substitutes the characters. I think he was mostly joking but I hope that Wes gets better at magic.

Oh yeah....and bring Lilah back. They so need another strong and sarcastic female. Or Gwen!!!! And yes, Eve must die after hours of torture. Make her listen to Angel singing Barry Manilow songs or even worse, make her listen to John Tesh!!!

I always thought Fred was more of a Willow...shy and mousy...brainiac geek...who would Gunn be..Xander with a cool factor?

That's a very intriguing theory! I like it a lot, and it explains what happened very nicely.

One thing I don't think anyone has mentioned is the possible outcomes for the "last kiss". Remember how Doyle passed the visions to Cordy? Yup, he kissed her! Maybe Angel will have the visions now...what better way to keep him on track than to have him see in technicolour what is going on in the lives of the "helpless".

And I agree with Chastity and N4H: Cordy was so hot she almost burst into flames! Whatta rack!
 
The vision idea would be cool. It would make a great end to the series if the whole gang abandoned him, moved on or died, and he was left alone to help the helpless, alone and brooding once again. 🙂

The vision idea will not happen because- dont you remember the episode when cordy is demonised? In the alternate world angel gets the visions and is driven mad.

And i dont think that everyone abandoning angel is a great end at all. I think it would be awesome if he died just as he saved the world that one last time. It would be more realistic if he paid the ultimate price and it actually did cost him. No coming back to life nonsense.
Recall that back in season 1 angel gave up happiness to save buffy's life in the apocalypse? The higher beings tilted the scales of destiny so Buffy who was destined to die when the big showdown arrives-lives. Maybe this will in turn save angel or doom him.

I thought this was a very sad episode... at the end when she was saying she couldn't stay, I was like man that sucks.. then when we found out she was never there and she died... I got a lil teary... Angel is alone, once again.. he just can't win with girl, huh. Well at least she helped him stop Lindsay... and at least we got to see Charisma again.. YAY!!... Overall a great ep..
 
I think Sarah should come back and be the one to convince Angel to destroy W&H from the inside. But W&H get wise to him and the SP come after him. at the end of the 3rd episode from the end, the PTB come to help Angel in his fight. in the 2nd episode to the end Buffy dies. In the last episode somehow Angel kills the SP's as he dies. and in the last shot, we see Angel, Buffy, Joyce, Kendra, Jenny, Tara, etc. Buffy is on Angel's lap feeding him strawberrys, and they're all in a cloudy place and they are all laughing and having a good time... I don't think it will be that happy of an ending though... but please god let it be...
