Really? When he was driving them to school and work and generally being pretty much the only stable male presence in the Summers' girls' lives, I was really digging it. He was just acting like such a... husband. I thought it was cute.

I've always been a Buffy/Xander fan, though. I loved Xander and Anya to pieces. I moved on from Buffy/Xander when Anya came into the picture. Now that she's dead, though, and Buffy and Xander have both grown up, I think I could really go for my Buffy/Xander shippiness again.

I agree about the husband/father vibe Xander had in S7. I can't believe some fans don't see it. Maybe they're just being biased.
I have just got this issue today thanks to StuckInTraffic (yay!) and I'm loving it so far.
Loved when Willow showed up at the very end. I must admit I was a little bit confused about Dawn being that big and the fact that everything seems so futuristic but well.
The dialogues are great, I feel like I'm watching the series.
Like when Xander says: " You know I only have two of these outfits."

Reading the next ones...
 
Onto part two! It's good to see Giles again and him heading up some training. Ok, thoughts on this one:

1. Love Buffy kicking the slayer-minions' bums.
2. Uh, Xander going with Dawn while she bathes? Creepy much?
3. The whole Buffy/Xander thing...I just wish they hadn't gone down that road. I know there was talk of doing it during the TV series, and I was never a fan of the idea. Not that I don't like Xander, I just feel like some relationships should be left platonic.
4. That said, when exactly does Buffy's dream start? Does she actually kiss Xander in real-life or just in the dream? (I'm guessing his head falling off is part of the dream, anyway. 🙂 )
5. Buffy would never wear that for pajamas!
6. Xander and Amy's whole dialogue is odd - why would Amy tell him how to lift the spell? Though I suppose she IS insane...
7. Zombies! Always creeped me out, especially after the Resident Evil movies.
8. Yay for Willow's comback! Weird wardrobe choice...

And now I'm sucked in...ai ai ai!
 
I enjoyed this, I was a bit shocked and appauled when she asked Xander if he was coming to bed and kissed him though!! I was very pleased to find out she was dreaming lol 😀

I love the "this lint is so scottish" line in this issue, seems so Xander.

I was thinking, having now read all the issues in Season 8, the bit were Buffy is pulled out by a demon when she's dreaming and she says "I know you", I can't remember if we find out who it is later but knowing what happens later could it be (spoiler on who Twilight turns out to be)
The demon is the same monster from Angels Tattoo? - if it was a Twilight warning, they look kinda similar
 
Yippee, hi yall! *waves* I'm here to bring this thread back from the dead! I'm moving right along on my re-read and just finished this issue.

I don't have much to say about this issue other than it's absurd that Xander would be able to wake Buffy from the spell with a kiss, because he's obviously not in love with her, though he does love her.
