Hmmm. I was nearly on team Bangel again but sorry this just sounds absurd. It's like a bad fan-fiction or something. Angel and Buffy having sex is earth shattering, but literally this time. It reminds me of all those 90's comedy sex scenes where it would cut to images of volcanoes erupting and nuclear bombs exploding.
The only thing I find interesting is what might be the outside force that is controlling them.

I can't wait for the next shipper war, whatever people say now, all Bangels have to do is say entire universe wants Bangel together, and knows that they are Ying and Yang.

Now, if the universe is actually bringing, as in FORCING, these two champions into a position where their combined existence threatens the welfare of, not just humanity, but the very order of creation, the only solution to the problem just MAY be for Buffy or Angel, or both, to leave their universe before the damage is irreparably done. In other words, it's the Hell-bound Express for Buffy or Angel, probably the former, since we've been told that Season 9 will have her in "a different landscape."

Here's a thought: Season 9 has Buffy back in the "Normal Again" universe, trying to escape and return home. She has no powers there, so she tries to enlist the help of a crusty old librarian, a computer geek, a stumble bum carpenter...well, you get the idea.

I can't really remember but in Fray doesn't it say that the last Slayer to fight was pulled into another dimension, and Willow said (it may have been someone else) that there are demons puring in from other dimensions, season 9 could be Buffy on the other side of that rift in some demon dimension, shut out from her friends?

Joan the Vampire Slayer agrees: Good explaination. That's how I interpreted it, too. Question: If BOTH Spike and Angel were her "truest loves" and the best of their kind - will Spike survive the end as well?

Well Spike, as far as we know, hasn't been overtaken by Twilight so honestly, I have no idea. We still have no idea what Twilight's real goal is. The story we have gotten is from Giles. Given what Angel said about him last issue, I get the impression that Giles doesn't really know the full story. I expect that to come next issue.

I don't know why but I have a feeling Spike and Faith will play a role together. It's canonical fact now that Angel is the other half of Buffy. But that still leaves Spike, the other "best" vamp and Faith, who has inexplicably been given her powers back, as the other "best" Slayer.

I don't understand everything around here, because I don't read the comics, well, not yet, I hope that by summer I'll get them.

I finally got why some people are freaking out because of this issue, but now, as I put the pieces together, thanks to your recaps and opinions, I see the bigger picture, and I'm not totally schocked. I'm glad that word Bangel is back in Buffy, even it is a comic form, but I just hope that Bangel will not turn in everything I hate about Spuffy. But when I was reading what you guys wrote, how those pictures are fleshy and sexy the only thing I was thinking about how Sarah and David would do it on screen. Awesome is the best word for it 😀
In my opinion, something messy is going in Joss head, and I still think he has some big surprise for us, I just hope we'll not be disappointed.

I know Bangel are meant to be, but I can't see how they're Yin and Yang, except the fact that vampire is the opposite of Slayer.

Well, well, well. It doesn't sound bad as I thought. But there's too many questions left to be answered. I just don't like that it's too graphic. I think it's unnecessary.

Now my Fuffy heart is officially broken, I guess. 😛 I hope Faith won't hook up with Spike. I can't wait to see Spike too. That will sure make the story more interesting. I need some snarks.

It is important to me that the universe KNOWS Buffy and Angel should be one! They are made for each other...as for Spike I really expect him to appear in the end but I don't know what role he will play...and what kind of opinion he will have for Twilight.

As Joan said I might be grossed out...yeah Bangel in space causing or supported by a global warming effect makes me wanna giggle at first impression!!!I don't think I am gonna be grossed cause they do love each other and soulmates being together makes me happy. And besides I expected that if Buffy and Angel ever got the chance to "bake some cookies" it will last long and be really steamy. They deserve that. Just like in IWRY.

But I don't know what lies behind that...:confused2: And I never expected they would show the whole "procedure" in a comic...:confused2: Makes me go "hmmmm".

It is graphic, no question, but I don't find it anymore graphic than anything we got in the show but I wouldn't say it is gratuitous. To me there seems to be two angles at work with "the sex": the reunion of Buffy and Angel, they comment on how much they have missed each other, they clearly desire each other and want to have sex. That's their genuine love and bond at work. Where it becomes a sex-a-thon of epic proportions is the work of the universe, pushing them to keepon doing it. They are super super-powered, as Buffy said a couple issues ago, "would you run if you could fly?". If you can have sex while flying, you are at least gona try it.

As far as Buffy and Angel being each other's yin and yang, well, I think it totally works. He's broad, dark and tall, she's slight, blonde and small. She was borne to kill his kind, he was made to kill hers. He returned from Hell, she returned from Heaven. They are united though by being Champions, by their belief in the mission, many experiences they have had have mirrored each other.

I'm glad so many people liked my transcript because I really enjoyed typing it! It gave me the opportunity to really think about what Giles is saying, which I think is the heart of the issue. Buffy and Angel being together is something the universe wants and needs. Humans may be obsolete in a world with superhumans (slayers). Of course, I don't think humanity will ultimately be destroyed. If Buffy has to give her powers back to prevent that, I think she will. Also, I'm not sure that all of the slayers got their powers back. Satsu was there, and she didn't say anything when Faith was restored. It's possible that Buffy and Faith are the chosen two again, though Buffy, as always, is slightly more chosen.

Also, Twilight is a place, not a person? Or maybe it's a concept.

So, yes, I basked in the Bangelness of this issue. I'm really just trying to grab a little happiness while I can get it. I fear that all of you who are suffering now will be gloating in not too long. If the height is this high, the fall will be that much further.

I get why people who love Bangel are enjoying the reunion but I think it is important to remember that in the context of the story it is not a good thing. It is causing the destruction of the world. Humans will cease to matter. Hoards of demons have started pouring into the earthly dimension. Twangel's motivations are still very questionable and now Buffy is in what seems to be an alternative dimension, separated from her family, friends and mission.

That's why I don't get any happiness over seeing them together. We need an explanation as to why they are drawn to each other and how long Angel's been effected by it, because at the moment all I can see is Buffy screwing a guy who's spent the season beating up or killing innocent people.

For me, that doesn't actually matter, I just like that the universe wants Buffy and Angel together, clearly Twangel has something else going on but in order to reach that it had to use Buffy and Angel together because they are build to be together, Ying and Yang.

Even if it work out they have to separate for good of the universe, Bangels already been completely Validated.

Clearly they do since they are together, in so many ways in the issue, and thats obviously what Twilight(whatever is going on) was banking on?
