I also just finished the Twilight arc, and I might as well post my thoughts here. The evolution angle is pretty extreme even for Buffy, though pretty cool at the same time (which could be because I'm majoring in Ecology right now 🙂 ). The Buffy/Angel sex was a bit of a distraction at points, especially because much of it was intercut with scenes of demons reaking havoc (and I hope that wasn't supposed to be a metaphor -- earth-shattering sex is literally earth-shattering sex :tongue3:, although I think that was what we were first supposed to think). That juxtaposition didn't work, since the more ridiculous images clashed with more serious ones. And there were other scenes that bordered on hokey -- the superhero tests from #32, and the "Daffy Duck cartoon" line and subsequent blank canvas from #35. But Buffy's decision to leave Paradise held true to her nature of defying her destiny to help her friends (such as spreading the Slayer power in Season 7), and Spike made another grand entrance in the closing panels of #35 (though he's considerably upgraded his vehicle). All in all, a good arc, and I also liked the pep talk that Xander gives Buffy, even it it's from Superman 😀. Also, I should have know that someone was eventually going to bring up the "other" Twilight, and I'm glad that it was Buffy (plus, she's right -- her vampire is better).
