I knew it! You just knew that Audrey was still kicking. They drew so much attention to Jack examining her dossier, the events of her "death". Very handy timing too. Now Jack has something to do for the rest of the day.

And Wayne was just playing nuclear chicken with Fayed's...vague country of origin. This show is so comic bookish now, for better or worse.
 
Yeah there was some fun little twists there. It's about time too. The show was drifting dangerously close to boredom. This ep we got to see some cool Jack stuff, and great twists. I was giggling away, thinking to myself "That's more like it. That's 24."

I think I saw the Audrey thing coming too. The writer's kept mentioning her, and you had to think from their perspective they wouldn't do that unless they had a plan for her. Someone, somewhere had me talked into the idea they couldn't possibly add Audrey to this season though. The idea was she was being set up as an idea for next season.
 
That final fight between Jack and Fayed was nasty. Slightly more brutal and realistic than buffyverse fisticuffs.

What exactly would the Chinese want at this point? Jack's dad? Someone killed? I can't remember what the sitch is between Grandpa Bauer and them, if anything.
 
I like scraps like that. UFC stuff.

I can't even guess what the Chinese agent wants. I don't want him and Jack to become allies on the same case though. He's one of the best heavies in 24 history. I want Jack to totally kick his ass.

I was having a scary thought. You know how Jack was pushed to the background for most of this season, and they introduced the Ricky Shroeder character? Please don't tell me there's some kind of secret, behind the scenes plan in the works to replace Sutherland with Shroeder.
 
In the previews for next week the Chinese are making Jack bring them the 'device'???
Jack actually says to Palmer "You owe me".
Got to remember in the early epi's Grey (Jack's brother) said something about they should have just killed Jack instead of giving him to the Chinese. And how him and dad tried to get Jack out of China. So I'm guessing the 'device' is from Bauer enterprises inc.
But the big question is this...how is it that the Chinese know exactly when Jack has 'saved the day' and they call him? Is there a mole in CTU? If so who?
 
A 'device', hmm. Missed that. Could Nadia, in fact, be a mole? Now that she's been thoroughly debunked as such. Milo's acting kind of insane lately. Morris has his issues.

I wish that it were Schroeder...he's tough, but he's no Jack Bauer. He can't take over the franchise, ugh. Why is it that child actors age so incredibly badly? A lot of milage on that baby face. I just can't see this show maintaining its numbers without Sutherland.
 
Nah can't see Nadia being the mole for the Chinese. She wasn't there 20 months ago when Jack got kidnapped.
All I know is someone is feeding the Chinese and it can't be someone from the shadows. For audience impact it's got to be a regular character like, this is going to cause a rucus, Chloe.
 
Chloe's really been in the background this season. Kinda weird. If she is a mole, it would some kind of blackmail scenario. Can't imagine what could possibly tempt her or make her change her allegiance.
 
What about the dad? He's looking for a place to run right now. If he goes to the Chinese and bargains with some knowledge of some device he puts the time sequence about right for an appearance of the Chinese. He could conceivably know about Audrey, and know Audrey is the one thing he can use to get Jack to turn.

Possible but doesn't explain that impeccable timing the Chinese have for calling Jack just as the crisis comes to a resolution. As tight as daddy is with the info all indications it's someone from CTU feeding info OR someone who used to work at CTU and would know proticals etc. Someone like say Kim?
