Fantastic episode.

This was the first episode I've noticed the music, they made a big deal about the music supervisor before the show aired, but I haven't thought anything special of it, but for some reason the music really worked in this.

I loved seeing Coulson freak out, Clarke did a great job with that scene.

Holy crap, Ward is infinity better as a bad guy, he has so much charisma and charm as a baddie. Makes sense, obviously, why I didn't think there was much to him at the start, becasue there wasn't much to Agent Ward, baddie Ward is very cool though.

I love that they let Coulson know Fury was alive and didn't drag that out endlessly for a reveal in the last episode.

Can't wait to see how the deal with all the people Garret has released, I presume they'll all have super powers in some way?

What was on the hard drive again? I went to see Captain America again yesterday, so I'm gonna rewatch last weeks episode and this one again over the long weekend, but I think it was all of the groups files right, Not general SHIELD files?

Kinda hilarious that SHIELD was basically made up of a mini-Fury-run-SHIELD and Hydra. I guess if they had a runway for the plane, they can restock it and refuel and they can keep Coulson bankrolled?

I find it really hard to picture Ward joining the group again, unlike Angelus going back to being Angel, going against SHIELD is an insult to the SHIELD agents, they aren't gonna take him back lightly. Coulson is so mad at May, and her betrayal was nothing compared to Wards.

Not to mention May recommending Ward for the job is drive her crazy. Though I'm a little fuzzy on how the team came to be, they made it seems like Ward was a deliberate plant, but May recommended him, so was it that she recommended and Garrett told him to accept or did they somehow make sure Ward got the recommendation?

Also Ward seems really into being a bad guy, which kinda suggests he isn't being a triple agent?
I expected more wishful gazing to prepare him for his turn around, but he seemed to be committed to Garrett and relish in his new evil stubble.
Raina seemed more likely to turn than Ward does, Whats the deal with her memories again she had that machine used on her to remember things, do we know what that was about?

Is Garrett part of the Deathlok program? He seemed part robot, and remember some character a while back mentioned the Clairvoyant didn't like to be touched?

We never heard about Raina's memories in detail, just that she found some in the machine. She will definitely turn on the "clairvoyant", (imo), she was only following him because of that question she wanted to ask (I wonder what that was) and was very hurt that he's not real, as it were. A flowered dress is nowhere near as persuasive as a load of gravitonium when it comes to winning people over, either.

Ward works well as a baddie, suddenly the captain cardboard act makes sense: it was an act! (or was it? probably it was but after the last couple of episodes I'm only 50/50 that I actually know my own name, never mind anything else)

I saw this episode before going to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so that spoiled some of the movie (

Hydra infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D.

) but not all of it (Fury's and Captain America's real fates). Still, I thought that this was a very good episode. The plot twists shook things up nicely, and the performances were all strong (especially by Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen).

I missed the line about Coulson being recruited out of High School! If Coulson is anywhere close to Greggs age, Coulson might have been with SHIELD for over 30 years, thats crazy, it's a pity we didn't get to see more of a build up for just how invested in SHIELD he was.

Though they should totally have a comic exploring Coulsons early SHIELD years! (I would say a movie, but I dont wanna see anyone else play Coulson)
