In the Season 2 premiere, Coulson settles into his new role as head of S.H.I.E.L.D.. as his team expands to take on new threats.

I seriously hope this means new cast, because the old one was terrible.

Ideally this means mostly getting rid of Skye and Fitz, plus no tortured 'redemption arc' for Ward- let him stay a villainous baddie, he acted better that way.

I liked Coulson, May, Tripp and Simmons, they can stay and bring on some new folks.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure we're stuck with Skye (even though the actress playing her is pretty dire...not a Whedon class act at all.) 🙁

Good first episode, hits the ground running and changes things around a lot.

Awesome to see Peggy Carter, The Howling Commando's and some boo-hiss Nazi/Hydra goons. Plus, I think we have our Bigf Bad for the season, or maybe just the first arc.

After watching the episode I will at least change my mind about Fitz- he's now a tragic, interesting figure with lots of potential for growth. Look forward to seeing him and the real Simmons intereact again.

Most of the new editions were very good, liked the Mercs, Henry Simmons is a good actor, and Absorbing Man was very true to the comics, albeit in a toned down form- he was still cool though.

Ward is very creepy- I don''t a redemption arc for him at all in the future. This is a good thing.

Skye is still terribly boring to say that she's supposedly a main character, also I found her acting fairly by-the-numbers. She doesn't really hold your interest during a scene.

Interesting McGuffin though, look forward to more on this- and what it did to Lucy Lawless (can't remember the character's name)

That was really good.
Glad that they started off as great as they ended last season.

But did they kill off Lawless after on episode?
I was looking for to see her on the show.

Have a feeling that they will somehow get Ward back in the gang again though.
Just hoping that it will not happen too fast and too easy.

Also, personally I really like Skye. 🙂

I am really looking forward to this season! I think we are off to a great start--at least a lot better than last season's start. I was very excited to see Peggy Carter and pleasantly surprised to see Lucy Lawless!

I hope Simmons comes back at some point though. We'll see.

Finally got caught up on the show. It was nice seeing Agent Carter again, I can't wait for her own show, I really like character. The absorbing man I thought was used well in this episode, it's the next episode that I didn't like him in. Once he starts talking he became less threatening to me somehow. Also don't really care for the guy that survives the car crash in the end. But overall I thought this was a good season opener.

Oh it was so sad to see Fitz like this and when they revealed that Simmons wasn't there my heart broke a little for him. It does give him more depth and emotion that makes me care for him more now.

I agree, I don't really care for her character, she's kind of boring to me. On the other hand, I'm really liking agent May so far, she has more personality or just something that she was lacking the first season, even though I liked her, there just wasn't much to her other than she's a bad ass fighter.

But did they kill off Lawless after on episode?

I thought that same thing! I was like they killed her? After all that effort to cut her arm off to save her she died anyways. I thought she'd be used more, but who's to say she can't come back some how.
