Is it just my imaginaiton, or did Buffy probaly cross a legal line by referring to RJ as "MR quarterback" and realisticly would have been fired.

This is probaly excessive deconstruction.

But beyond that..

Ok its pretty clear that Anya was NOT interested in returning the money she stole to the bank.

If she HAD been interested in doing so... any idea how she could have done so safely?

Did she cross a line by doing what she did with him? YES! Someone in Buffy's position, going that far with a student, she would have probably been fired, if anyone had found out. If Wood did know, chances are he might have figured out about the spell on the jacket and that's why nothing was done. That and the fact that Buffy was the Slayer and he wanted her on the Hellmouth. However, I don't really see anyone believing RJ, if he told people what happened. It's essentially his word against Buffy's, Xander and Dawn aren't going to rat her out. It's likely no one would believe him if he tried to brag.

Short of mailing the money back to the bank, I don't think there's a 'safe' way for Anya to return it.

Though, what I want to know is, what happened to all that cash? Did anyone else find out about it, or did it go down with the Hellmouth?

You'd think she'd have given some to Buffy to help with the costs at Revello Drive caused by their new house guests.

And replacing the lamps/doors/windows/tables that seem to get broken in every episode!

Yeah, but this is Anya we're talking about, the most greedy, money-obsessed character on the show. There's no way she's handing it over voluntarily. I can see her reluctantly handing it over if they found out about out of fear of them turning her in, though I don't think any of the Scoobs would do that...well, maybe Willow.

Ya, not sure what's so bad about Mr quarterback. That's the least of her problem when she tried to sleep with the guy, which I mean yes she would have been fired and depending on the law in the states, would have been prosecuted for it. If anything, Wood knew what was going on, it would have been hard to be blind to RJ attracting all the ladies everywhere.

About Anya, am I the only one that thinks she might have done something with the money instead of just stashing it somewhere? Who knows.

It is, but let's be real, Buffy would have never been hired in the first place. I've also had profs say worst to student then this (maybe not in highschool, but still inappropriate I'd say). In the end, no Buffy should not have been a counsellor.

Really?!? 😱 That seems like a pretty big nothing to me. The only way that would make me feel demeaned is because the person saying it hadn't put enough effort into trying to demean me.

Seriously, anyone who was offended by that would have trouble getting out of bed of a morning.

That's...not really all that demeaning, as far as I'm concerned, and it certainly wouldn't be something that would cost anyone their job if they referred to a student that way. Especially one who was in RJ's situation when Buffy actually speaks the words. She's worried about her sister, she's not under the spell at that point, she's trying to make a case against RJ using his position on the team to get girls to fawn all over him, which, he is actually doing.

And...isn't RJ the quarterback of the football team anyway? It's not like Buffy is lying when she calls him that.

Also, the actual line is: "Yeah. I see how you get along. Oooh, look at me, I'm a big quarterback..."

No 'Mr.'

I suppose that if Buffy got fired for that then Jenny Calender would have to be fired for a similar offence in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. Amy and Giles know what she does/says, they're there when it happens. But they understand it's a spell. Okay Giles does have something of a soft spot for her by this stage so it seems unlikely he'd turn her in. Amy does not, but she's affected by the spell too, so maybe she was embarassed.

I watched this episode last night and I actually find the whole premise a little silly. Let's be honest: it's one of those sometimes fun, throw-away episodes that has nothing to do with the important story arc of the season.
I don't find any issues with Buffy referring to RJ as "Mr. Quarterback." I really don't find this to be that shocking. In a high school setting, I've heard instructors of all kinds refer to students in much more inappropriate ways; most of the time having something to do with the fact that the teacher is trying to relate with a generation they are not apart of.

Like I said, it's definitely silly. It has no direct or real indirect meaning for the Buffyverse and therefore, I don't pay that much attention. I guess if I was to break it down, the only aspect I find the least bit interesting is the letterman's jacket and the history it allegedly had.

I seriously doubt that, once the cash was in her possession, the idea of returning it ever entered Anya's mind. And as for what actually became of it, possibly she used it to pay off D'Hoffran, (whatever the proper spelling is) to let her off the hook. He would almost certainly use the money to finance his other vengeance demons' living expenses.
