Doctor Who role for Timothy Dalton

Former James Bond star Timothy Dalton is to appear in Doctor Who.

The actor, who played James Bond in The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill, will appear as a baddie in one of David Tennant's final episodes.

A Doctor Who insider told The Sun: "Timothy Dalton is a big coup for Doctor Who because he's pretty iconic. He's in the UK right now and is shooting scenes over the next few weeks.

"It's a good gig for him as it will be one of the most memorable episodes yet."

David Tennant is set to play the Time Lord in just three more special episodes before handing over his sonic screwdriver to new Doctor Matt Smith.

Former assistants Billie Piper, Freeman Agyeman and Catherine Tate are all expected to appear and John Simm will also be reprising his role as The Master.

The specials are expected to be screened on BBC1 over Christmas and New Year.

I really want to know how they are going to get Catherine Tate back in it, seeing as she can't know about the Dr...hmm sounds interesting!!

Can't wait!! 😀 and Yay!! For Billie returning!! That will be interesting also..eeek so excited!!

To be honest, I love Donna, Rose is a bit boring now BUT its Timothy Dalton for cripes sake.

I am SO excited by that!

Wow, that sounds awesome!

I loved Timothy Dalton being 'bad' in Hot Fuzz so I can't wait to see him in this. And eek! John Simm!

Will Rose's 'Doctor' be affected when the 'actual' doctor regenerates? Or will it not make any difference? Cos if Rose loses the Doctor again, there will be tears. There always is when it comes to the Dr and Rose!

Very interesting! How is that going ot work with Donna? I loved Donna, she was only one of the newer companions that DIDN'T fall in love with the Doctor. That was refreshing. John Simm was awesome as the master in the third series. As witty and clever as the Doc, but evil. Yay! Martha's coming back to! Rose is kinda of getting old, but I still like her as a character. I can't wait! Oh well, Torchwood will just have to keep me going this summer.

As for Bond, meh, not really a big fan of those movies.
 
Arg! Waiting until Christmas!?! I suppose I shall survive . . . possibly.

It's looking like it's gonna be a great end for David. Which I'm glad of. He is, after all, my Doctor. 🙂
