Do your peers or lots of people know u like (or obsessl) about Buffy/Angel or other shows?

Me, only my family and Best friend know Im obsessed with Buffy/Angel. If my peers knew I would loose my rep....My boy friend knows (and one or 2 friends) too but he thinks I like it kinda..... not obsessed, I kinda keep that secret. My family best friend and a nother close friend (who is obsses too..) knows about my foreign soap opera obbsesion too (and my fling for asian guys lol) but thats it, I cant tell this to the other people thst i hang out with about this, they would disown me.....and my little thing for Anime, I would have to ware a bag over the head lol!!!!!!!!! (only family, and 2 best friends know...my boyfriend doesnt even know) So i kinda hate it....i want other peeps to like it too....🙁

How about u, do u hide it or does everyone know?
 
well, i don't really go around telling people, my parents know...they're not really crazy about my being so obbsessed w/ a show, and my best friends know, but i don't really go around bragging about it.....
 
some of my family members know but do not care...same with my friends...
 
EVERYBODY KNOWS!!! I never hide any of my obsessions. I always figured if I love it and others can judge me for it then what the hell do I need them for? The type of people that scare easy don't last long with me. (if any of you knew me in highschool you would know what I mean) No one else in my life aside from the hubby and his sis watches either show but a few friends have asked to borrow the DVD's when I get them all.
 
No...My friends and family do...They arent happy about me obsession with angel because its all i talk about...
"angel this angel that angel here and angel there" thats what my mom says...I think they needa chill but they think i do...But what can i say?I have good taste!
 
It used to be just my family knew, and I'd never really tell anyone about it. Now I'm like "Hi, nice to meet you, I'm obsessed with Buffy." Well, something like that, but pretty much everyone knows about my obsession now. 🙂 Also cause I try to make everyone watch my lovely DVD's.
 
Everyone knows, I don't see the point in hiding it. There is often a lot of talk about it when i'm at work. And when i'm at uni they all know too, even the lecturers. I have the attitude of 'take me as I am, if you don't like it them tough'
 
hahaha...my friends know i watch it...they watch it...its cool...cause you can watch it for the chicks...or for more than the chicks...so its cool either way...

lol...if my friends knew how much anime i watched...nothing would happen...but probably just being compared to a little gurl or something...whatever...
 
My family knows, they roll their eyes but then again they buy me Buffy stuff so what can they expect. Everyone else I care about knows, and most of my school year knows too but I dont really care, Ive been called a buffy geek before and I'm proud.A lot of my friends watch it too so we can talk about it together and I've managed to convert one and now she wants to lned the dvds which is always good. There was an award show in my school year one year and they giave everyone an award, sorta like an 'everyone's special' thing and I won Biggest Buffy fan so I suppose thats what I'm known for a lot. Whats the point in hiding something you love so much, if people dont like you for it, its their loss.
 
from my perspective...the coolest people...are the ones that are a little goofy...that are a little nerdy...falk...i don't wanna hang out with people that can't act like a geek sometimes...can't act like a normal person...

Most of my closet friends know then i find out that they also like the show and some dont. My family know...of course they know Thursday 8 n 9 would always be Buffy and Angel and id be like get out of the room. My mum dosent like Buffy but she likes Angel and my dad likes both. My cousin hus like 28 watches it with her husband and they have all the tapes and she let me them wich is kewl!
 
My family know and my mum loves Buffy. We were talking about Season 6 together the other day. My close friends now.......currently converting my best mate. She has only watched a few episodes but we were out having a drink the other night and she was asking me all about Angel's soul and The First and everything. It was very cool to talk to someone indepth about it especially someone who didn't know a lot about it but give me time, she will join the Buffy side of the Force before long.

I have told a couple of other people but it generally doesn't come up in conversation. But if it does I don't hide it, they might think i'm strange or whatever but they are the ones missing out.

Actually there was something that the my mate said to me the other day before asking me all these questions, "Seems like there is a Buffy related world out there and its like a secret that only people who live in that world know about, a good secret" And I was like "Well yeah, if people laugh at me or make fun of me because of loving Buffy I laugh at them and tell them they don't know what they are missing." Because they are the ones missing out, not me. Anyone else feel like that or just me??
 
Im not ashamed of my....obsession.
Everyone knows I am, and that makes me feel good, becuase not many people at my school DO like it!
 
Heck yeah!! I try and convert 'em all - and it's worked a few times too, actually quite alot as anyone that comes here whilst it's on has to sit back, shut up and watch, so they have no choice - then come the end of it they are like, "actually that was quite good", and they end up getting hooked! ::evil1::

i dont hide it, i cant shut up about it. lol. if im meeting someone new, to break the ice i usualy say "do you watch/like buffy?" if they say no i got all crazey saying how...well crazey they are for not likeing it. everyone knows i love it. im currently converting my boyf 😀 he's loving it more an more. and lol, cordelia, im the same. if a friend comes over to mine, they cant leave without watching one epi at least.
 
Hehehe. Same here. I'm converting my best friend as we speak...
Oh and Buffster6, I feel that way too. I really can't believe that so many people don't have Buffy or Angel gracing their lives. I feel sorry for those poor souls...

Hehehe, we should print up pamplets and go door to door like our own little religous group converting people to Buffyism!
 
Hahaha, and we could take an example dvd with a few of the greatest episodes. 🙂

LoL I kinda LOVE anime! My friend hates it so i dont tell annyone they all think its stupid and uncool, so i gota flow with the croud, but i can still hide from them u know lol we have sumtin in common gasm!
