After "Chosen" does the gang live somewhat of a normal life? Did they get a new house etc

Sorry the question just bugged me

Well, we don't know what happen between Chosen and season 8, other than that what they did lead up to season 8. So they gathered an army, started stealing from banks(I think it was banks) and got the castle in Scotland that Buffy, Xander, Dawn and lots of slayers lived in. Buffy trained and lead the slayer army from that castcle, where they lived/used as headquarters.

So no, they did not lead normal lives. They lived in a castle and stole money and other stuff to fund their army. Xander and a few other slayers seemed to work in the command central and Buffy lead the slayers into different battles. There was other squads around the world, doing the same thing. Andrew had a squad in Rome(however he got responsibility is beyond me, slim pickings I assume, unless he had time to prove himself a lot) and Vi has one in New York. Giles seemed to travel a lot, looking for a spoilery thing. Willow was also traveling about without Kennedy, doing witchy stuff. In the first arc of season 8 she seemed to settle down somewhat with the others in Scottland.

Also, Dawn went to college but got turned into a giant and had to live in the castle too. So... not normal, but kind of fun.

And Angel's life was... complicated, during this time. I won't spoiler you, if you don't know. If you do know, well, you know he did not live a okay lifestyle.

What about Dawn does she go to college? Cause in "Damage" from ATS Season 5 none of what happens in season 8 happens of what happened to the Scoobies what Andrew told Spike.

I added some parts to my last post. Also, what Andrew said could still be true, if I remember correctly. It could have happened before season 8. Xander for example Dracula's slave for a while, so Xander could have flaaen into his grasp anywhere.
According to the Season 8 comics, if you accept them as a continuation of the "Buffy" story (some don't, despite Joss saying that they are canon) no. Buffy doesn't begin her well earned retirement, but instead becomes "Mama Slayer" to one group of new Slayers, where Season 8 finds her training and patrolling with her girls in Scotland and living in a castle there, with Xander as her second in command. The others are scattered about the world, still fighting the good fight. The closest thing to a "normal" life is Dawn's brief attempt at college, but she runs has a disagreement with her boyfriend, who happens to be a thricewise demon, and begins the season as the Ridiculous Colossal Dawn.

If you don't accept the continuation in the comics, it's pretty much up to your own imagination. Or, as a courtesy of one Avenger to another, you're welcome to share my version of the non-canon post Season 7 Buffyverse if you would care to:

Giles began rebuilding the Watchers' Council in England with Andrew's help.

Xander leads a group who travel all over the world, locating and counseling new Slayers. While in Africa, he met, fell in love with, and married Cassandra Clayton, granddaughter of John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, otherwise known as Tarzan (by coincidence, Clayton is a relative of William Clayton Pratt, who we affectionately know as Spike, and the one who helped him locate the cave demons who restored his soul)

Buffy, Willow, and Faith direct a Slayers' training facility on the site of a former gladiators' school in Italy. Spike and Illyria are there (Spike lives with Buffy and helps with the training, while Illyria makes life miserable for the Immortal, one of her old minions and Glory's ex-husband)

Angel, still living in Los Angeles, earned his mortality for defeating the Senior Partners, is happily married to Nina. Unfortunately, on their honeymoon, in the throes of passion, she unthinkingly bit him in a most sensitive and private place, and he is now a werewolf. The two of them are being helped by Oz, and, under his guidance, are beginning to take control of their wolf personalities.

Gunn has a very successful law practice, and was responsible for getting all charges against Faith dropped on the grounds of temporary insanity.

(I had some time not long after the end of Season 5 of "Angel" while recovering from surgery with not much else to do but lie around and let my imagination wander)

I remember right after I saw the season 7 finale I started imagining what the scoobies were going to do with their lives. Faith got a job as a stunt double, Buffy slept for a month, Willow went back to school, Dawn went to community college seeing as she kind of missed...the end of high school (wait, did she even get a diploma?) and Xander becomes a world renowned construction worker. Oh, and Giles um...becomes a best selling author? I was 11 when I made this up and I didn't really think it through. I guess those potentials are just on their own in my fantasy. Well, maybe Buffy would go and fetch them after her nice, long, nap.

In my mind, season 8 is not canon! Hmph!
