As has been told to you on numerous occasions, it is the online equivalent of shouting.

I've been told? I should hope you know that I'm not trying to "argue" with you on this, as you guys seem to believe I do with you. I'm just attempting to plead my case here with you, as always, and it appears as if it's always misunderstood. I use capital letters for emphasis or for the name of a movie or TV show. It was my understanding that using an exclamation point '!' was the equivelent of yelling, in combination with capital letters. Apologies if there was a misunderstanding of some sort. 🙂 😀

I thought Bangel happened really fast...like, too fast. It seemed like they barely knew each other because they only kiss like 2 times and had a few conversations before they declared their love for each other. They also kind of forgot about each other considering they had a "forever love". They both seemed to move on pretty quickly and easily. Spuffy developed over many years..and yes, there was always chemistry there, you can't deny it.

I also don't see how this was mentioned..it was the biggest "Aw" moment for me, beside the scene in "Touched". In "Tough Love" Spike thinks he's talking to BuffyBot, and tells her that he'd let Glory kill him before he told her about Dawn because he didn't want to see her in that much pain. And then they share their first *real* on screen kiss. The first time I watched that scene, I squealed in delight. It was pure win.

The thread was specifically created for Bangels and I do not barge into the Spuffy club expressing my sadness over other side not liking my ship. I respect you guys enough to give you your privacy to enjoy your ship and its intricacies in your subforum. But as a Bangel I have absolutely no desire to get into my club forum and see the Battleship discussion spill in here. Please don't do this.

And no, I don't see any chemistry in Spuffy, ever.

You don't have to like Spuffy, or me for that matter. But I'd appreciate it if you didn't treat me like something you stepped in just because I do like Spuffy. I show you that courtesy.

I'm done with this, if you wish to address me with anything else, you may do so over PM. Next time, I'll be sure to steer clear of this forum and any other Bangels because of the blatant intolerance. It's funny, because I actually am quite fond on the Bangel ship. I wish I could say the same for its fans.

Well, I pretty much take it as a given that Spuffies maybe are generally more accepting of other ships, and Bangels are more 'purists' ( although in my case I am very tolerant and indifferent towards any other ship in the show). I am sorry if it sounded if I singled anybody out - I was not trying to. Still , this is Bangels only club, so trying to push a message of your different ship here is sort of strange. Maybe the mods can create a Bangel/Spuffy tolerance thread and try to attract some moderate shippers from both camps to play nice and reconcile there. 🙂

I have to say that all this is driving me really sad. On the one hand it's not fair to exclude people just because they have another oppinion. So in my eyes Spuffys should be allowed to post here too! But they have to notice that this thread wasn't created to convince somebody to their oppinion. Therefor you can post in shipbattles. It should be a exchange inwhich you can read what "the opposide" thinks about your loved/*not loved*~ relationship. If you as a Spuffy can't live with people who don't accept you oppinion, then you shouldn't post here. And if you, as a Bangel can't accept Spuffys in this "open" thread, you shouldn't post here either. I think the main idea, to see what Bangels think about Spike and Buffys relationship is a very intersting question. So don't ruin it with senseless discussions, do you really think you can change a hardcore/convinced Spuffyfan/Bangelfan to change his oppinion? 😀

I disagree that Bangels shouldn't post here. But on the other hand, I never claimed to dislike Bangel. I've said in more than one thread that I am fond of Bangel. I really love certain aspects of Spuffy more than Bangel, but that's not to be discussed here.

I don't see why a person can't like both ships without catching flack for it.

I wasn't trying to barge in, but as a fan of both ships, I think I am entitled to my opinion without getting hate for it.

Of course you can, this wasn't the question. Never was. In contrary I hope that everybody here feels free to post free and honest. Even Spuffyfans. I didn't say that Spuffys should be allowed to create anti-Bangel threads. The question was how far the line of tolerance goes in this thread. And some posts above, the line is very small. I think you as Bangelfan should be able to write whatever you want here to write, no matter if it's a nice Spuffy oppinion or not. And then I agree with you that no Spuffyfan has the right to critisize your statements or to try to convince you for Spuffy in this thread. But I disagree with you if you say that no Spuffy is allowed to post here. Not for convinzing but for showing new ways, too agree or disagree with the things said here. May you read this as a big Spuffy fan:

Then you think about it and notice: Hey she's quite right. There is a fence. But Bangel had some amazing scenes too. The ship was not as bad as I always thought. Then you want to comment VisionGirl. Just saying: Hey all in all I am a Spuffy but I still like Bangel in a romantic view too. Relieved that you as a Bangel like us Spuffys a little bit too.

But I think all she wanted to say with her first post was that she is disappointed that there is not as much tolerance for Spuffys as she wished there would be! Then she posted her reasons why she loves Spuffy to explain why there "could be" some points for liking Spuffys a little bit too. I didn't think she wanted to convince you!

I agree, if you skim through her post it can make the appearence as if she wanted to make some Spuffy-advertising. Then you critizised. And I made the same experience as you that EvilWillow fights for her oppinion, isn't it like this EW? 😀 I am sure you two can still live with each others oppinion and forget this, huh?

I was trying to convince no one to be a Spuffy fan. Other people were saying that there weren't any moments of Spuffy that made them go "aw". There was one I knew of that had not been mentioned, so I decided to point it out. I was never disrespectful to anyone, period. I don't appreciate getting yelled at.

Well, that's insulting. It's fine that thinking about Spuffy makes you sick, but do you have to brand Spuffy lovers or 'anyone who even considers them a pairing' to not be a true BtVS fan? Liking pairings isn't the only part of watching the show, and even then, other fans are entitled to their own opinions. It doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Maybe I got it wrong, but for me, this being a B/A section of the board means that B/A shippers can speak freely on B/A without confrontation or instigation. It doesn't mean we can disrespect or insult other members who like aspects of the show that we find distasteful.

I'm sure the mods will clear that up, one way or another. 🙂

If you aren't a fan of the B/A pairing chances are you won't like the discussions going on in here, same as those who loath Spuffy wouldn't enjoy TBS discussions.
