Do you believe in what the Beast said about Faith?

Personally, It was just a tactic by the best to pysch her out. Just to get underneath her skin. Break the mind and the body is sure to follow.

yeah but it still sucks when I watch it that she didn't do any damage to him
It was a mind game that the Beast did on Faith. I think he could sense in her , her reluctanuce to let out the old Faith, fearing that once she did, she might not be able to pull back once she let loose. Thats why I think he called her weak.

She's not weak at all. She was one of the strongest characters on Buffy/Angel she's strong but he said so to taunt her.

I think that physically Faith was strong, but mentally she was not. Faith was portrayed to have been through a lot of things befire she was ever in Sunnydale, but as viewers we seen the amount of things Buffy had to go through, she dealt with things much better than faith who had a complete mental brake down in buffy season 3.

Yeah but buffy had better foundations,I mean pre 16 the only problems she had where that her mum and dad had marital poblems, whereas from what we know about faith she had a sucky childhood and therefore shaky foundations. I respect them both buffy for keeping it together and faith for losing it but bringing her self back together, granted with a little help but ya have to admit it still took some strength of character to do

Everyone seems to be overlooking a very important factor concerning Faith and her fighting ability, or strength. When she was in Sunnydale in Season 3, Faith was a relatively new Slayer, a couple of years behind Buffy in training and experience. After a few months, she "rogued out" and soon thereafter, Buffy stabbed her and put her into a coma for the better part of a year, after which she awakened, confronted Buffy, fled to L A,was helped by Angel, and finally confessed her crimes and went to prison, where she remained until Season 7. During all of this combined coma/prison time, Faith was gaining absolutely no Slayer experience, and facing no enemies adequate to challenge her fighting skills, thereby strengthening her power as a Slayer.

In another thread, I rated Faith as the weakest fighter, right behind Angel, in a comparison of Buffy, Spike, Angel, and Faith, and gave my reasons for my beliefs, which remain the same up to now. Faith is a truly formidable fighter, but the Beast was right in recognizing the inexperience in her. Granted, Faith, as a Slayer, shares a mystical link with all the Slayers who came before her, and to a certain extent has all of their combined skills, but that is a mental link, not a physical one.

Her "weakness" was a lack of experience.

I don't think the Beast said this to bother Faith, cause he obviously doesn't know Faith. His reason for saying it is because compared to him Faith is very weak. The Beast is INCREDIBLY strong, even if Buffy fought him she'd get her ass kicked. So to the Beast there is no real power in her, because he's MUCH more powerful than she is.
