Do You Buffy~Speak?

I totally Buffy speak. It's how i met rach in high school, we were just sitting beside each other in maths and we were both just quoting Bufffy for the whole lesson. It was brill, so yeah i still use it in my day to day speach lol

When I was in high school I had a blue three-ring binder that I wrote dozens of BtVS quotes and phrases on. Even students in the class that didn't watch the series would sometimes sit there reading some of them.

I think it is funny that Sarah said she didn't understand all of the things the writers had her saying. She didn't know that "What's the 'sitch?" translated as "What's the situation?"

I didn't get that line "You look like DeBarge" until I was watching I Love the 90s (or maybe the 80s) on VH1.

So, my best friend has never seen Buffy and pretty much hates it because I'm so obsessed. It was therefore highly amusing when she unknowingly quoted. She's going through some boy problems, so I brought her chocolate, but she had blood drawn and is anemic and wasn't feeling well. I told her chocolate fixes everything, and then she said, "Except puking," which was so similar to the exchange in Fear Itself that I had to laugh.

I've also taken up saying, "It's a thing," whenever I just describe something I don't really want to go into detail about. Like, "I have to do a sudoku every day or I wig. It's a thing." Plus, "wig." 🙂

Quiet or you'll miss the humorous conclusion
I like the quiet
chocolate means nothing to me
I'm just not going to get way extra-curricular about it
it's like falling off a log
shut up! I command you, shut up! (I say that when I think something I don't want to think)
pretty darn lickable
don't you have an elsewhere to be?
I don't think this is entirely on the up and up

I like to quote both Lilah and Cordelia a lot. 🙂 My usual ones are "Fascinating. Now that we've got that settled...", "I'm what I believe in.", "Lady, the b**** is back", and the Cordelia speech from Billy. 😀

Also, I sometimes use Anya's "You're referencing literature I have no way to be familiar with. You're trying to make me feel left out," 😀

I was really happy that "frak" and "redonkilous" became cannon speak in the Buffyverse thanks to the S8 graphic novels. Frak is from Battlestar Galactica (I love it) and I first heard redonkilous on HIMYM.

I used one today that I realized I use ALL the time "spank your inner moppet" - Love that one!

I love your Bangel banner!

Hah, I didn't understand that one either until I watched that episode with my mom.

I got the opportunity to use five by five the other day.
I also use smoochies.
"I'm the Slayer, ask me how."
I can't think of any others in particular at the moment. I mostly just end up making references no one usually catches.

Your platitudes are good for all occasions
that's creepy on a level I hardly knew existed
It's the computer age, nerds are in!
society has rules and borders and an end zone
Everybody has their demons
thank you very much for those nightmares!
It's a topsy-turvy world
you know how my foot likes to live in my mouth
this sentence is sounding bad before I even finish

I do use quotes in front of my friends who know the show, so they get it.
Other than that, being from a non-English country kinda makes it a big harder. I'll be glad to produce words of any kind.

Also, I don't wanna seem like too much of a geek in front of people that think I watch too much TV anyway. I do, they have a point there, but I fear if I sstart to Buffy talk in front of them, they'll think they've lost me to the dark side forever.

I use those ones too, especially the first one and often in combination with "there's not enough yuck in the world"

I was talking to some friends yesterday and I noticed I do in fact use on Buffy quote a lot:

I'm Switzerland

Yep! All the time! I've directly quoted pretty much everyone once and every time someone breaks out the animal crackers I need to say " I mock you with my monkey pants!" just because and I really can't remember a time when I wasn't adding -y to the end of everything. Feel good knowing I'm not the only one!

it's difficult for me cause i live in France, but we made a game with my boy-friend, since we both work from time to time with tourist: the one who uses the more buffy-quotes wins.
i am actually the winner, since i used one and him zero.

and it was not an easy one: try to use "evil bunnies" in a normal conversation with a stranger:biggrin3:

Like Mrrout I just don't get to use english much outside of online interactions, so I never really used BtVS/Angel quotes, which is suprising considering how much of a fan I am 😛

The only two expressions I remember using was 'Five by Five' and 'Bloody Hell'.
