Agree to disagree, I suppose. But I'm not the only fan that sees Angel as seeing himself as morally superior...

Spike never seemed to care about morality. He wanted to be the best...at whatever he set his mind to. Even when he was saving the world, I didn't get the sense that he was doing it out of a sense of moral duty. He wanted to see how it ended. He believed in Buffy and her mission. He wanted to be the champion. He wanted to save the love of his life and her family and friends.

Angel was more concerned about right and wrong for their own sake.

I think one of the reasons I like Spike so much is that I react to the world similarly to him. I'm pragmatic.

Angelus was all "yeah, big evil, let's suck the world into hell." and Spike was all "I like this world, there is football and happy meals with legs."
