Do you get a little sad when you finish S3?

Yes. Season 3 had my favorite cast and my favorite couples. (except for Spike and Buffy) everytime Angel walks off I'm like No Angel don't go! Lol I remember being so upset and refusing to watch Angel for years. Also the 1st 3 seasons is what I grew up watching. I dident watch it as faithfully after season 3 because you know by that time there were more important things to do then watch Buffy lol. But yea I did eventually catch up and while the rest of the series is good the early seasons are what I remember the most. And yea it was the end of an error.

An end of an era alright!
Honestly, I get nostalgic from the entire series. Every time I watch an episode, it doesn't matter what season. But yes, I agree, it was definitely the end of an era. Although I don't quite agree with others as far as the earlier seasons being the better ones. I love the earlier seasons, but without seasons 5-7, I wouldn't have loved the show half as much.
 
Actually,I see the end of Season 3 as a hopeful,if not happy event (and no, Bangels,it has nothing whatsoever to do with you know who leaving the show. Well,not entirely that, anyhow) I think the, "Hey, we survived.Not just the apocalypse,we survived HIGH SCHOOL" pretty much summed it up. Childhood was over, adulthood beckoned, the gang was about to enter a whole new phase of life, and they, as an added bonus, had been allowed to fulfill every high school graduate's fondest dream.

They got to see the Principal die a terrible, painful death, and then blow the damn school to hell, What could be better than that?
 
Always. I usually stop watching after I finish season 3. Well...I'll usually make it to season 4 (so underrated in my opinion) and then I stop after that. I haven't done a full re-watch in a loooong time. It's too sad 🙁. I feel like the next time I finish Buffy, it will be the end. Like it will feel like the true end.

I remember I did get sad after the last episode of season 3 aired. Then when season 4 went on to air, I actually got pretty sad during the first episode as well. I knew the show was going in a different direction. There was no more Angel, Cordelia, Bangel, Sunnydale High, or library.

I love season 3 but I think the show only gets better from there. I'm not a huge fan of s2, and season 1 is good but short. So s3 to me yes I love seeing young scoobies but it gets even better. I love seeing them grow up, mature. But I do love going back and watching the early seasons.
 
Yep, I always have. It makes me nostalgic because the first time I saw the show, I stopped watching after S3. So for a while that was the *end* of the series for me.
 
A bit -- mostly because of the fact that I feel that the show never quite gets back up to the level of quality that it had in Season 3. Though, the fact that Faith's real time in focus is at an end is a close second. I don't have any particular nostalgia for the series before it (due to the fact that I watched it so recently) or for high school (or nostalgia in general, but that's another story), so that part doesn't make me sad, but what I said before is definitely a bit of a letdown.
 
Kind of, like other said mainly becasue the show was so damn good in season 3.

Season 3 is always the season I picture when I think of BtVS, and I think it has some of the most brilliant subtle moments that I can picture clearer then any other except maybe The Gift (When the camera pans up on her holding the Hunga Munga in Anne and Buffy getting to the top of the tower in Earshot)

My favourite season is season 5, so I don't get have a sense of sadness about season 3 cuz I know season 5 is just 880 minuets away!

It was a sad ending for me because I found the Mayor really likeable. Lol I didn't want him to die. And I felt bad for him when he found out about Faith in the coma. He was one of the best big bads of the entire series.
 
I'm not a Bangel shipper, I really like Angel the show and I'm one of the few that prefer the later seasons so I can't say that I feel sad when the season ends.

I also feel nostalgic for those reasons. Those first three seasons are also the best for me, mainly because of the scooby gang tight relationship. It's true that after season 3, they kinda grow a little apart. The episodes that I love the most after season 3 are those with Willow, Xander and Buffy being together and getting close again! In those first three seasons, they formed with Giles a tight little group and unfortunately the relationship isn't the same afterwards...

And then Angel leaves at the end of the season, so yes, as a shipper of Bangel, I'm kind of sad for that reason too.

As much as I praise other specific cinematography, that moment is the single best shot in the entirety of the series in my opinion (barring me remembering something better later). When I saw that in the credits, I was immediately pulled way in, wondering when that would show up and thinking that it sums the show up in a single image better than anything else (next closest is the leather jacket/prom dress/crossbow in Prophecy Girl), and it never should have been replaced as the image at the end of the credits.

I also love that shot of her holding this weapon in "Anne"!!! I liked seeing this image in the Credits of this season!
but the truth is there are many shots taken for the Credits that I love! 😛😉

Yep. I agree. The later seasons just make me feel saddened by their waning relationships with each other.

I finished season 3 again today and it was kinda sad to see it ending. I mean it's the end of the High School Era. But I guess it's mostly nostalgia that made me sad.
