Which do you get on best with, as a majority?
My very best friends are females, but in general, I get on better with males. I invest trust in males in a way that I don't with females, and there seems to be less bitchiness, and more fun in my friendships with males.

What about you guys?

I think I get on better with males but since most of my closest friends are girls I don't really know. I find guys easier to approach I suppose. And since I'm not really a 'girly' girl I guess I don't feel like I'll fit in with the girls as much. I don't know, for some reason girls just make me way more nervous than boys do.

I get on better with guys. Most of my best friends growing up have been male, never really enjoyed spending time with females that much, too bitchy for me. I have some female friends but I tend to have a laugh more with guys really.

Weirdly though, I get on with girls alright online. I don't know if that's because in the places I go there's generally less males about, but considering I feel slightly nervous when physically around females, I don't feel that way chatting to females online. My mind is just weird :/

I've been raised and hung around females my entire life. My best friend in the entire world is a female. I've honestly had more female friends than males, and of course I've gotten alot shit talked about me because of it. But I could care less. I was always different from other males. I wasn't the stereotypical jock, or sports player, or woman chaser. I was always just me, and other dudes didn't understand or dig that. Females always showed me love even when I was at my weirdest, and I love them for that. 🙂

I've always had female friends, the ones I was actually friends with. But I'd still say I get on better with guys, because many girls I've known were bitches. Guys never really treated me bad.

Females. Always have and always will

From reading this thread and seeing this question asked in the past from other places, females tend to gravitate towards men and males tend to gravitate towards women with this question.

I've noticed that too. :)
For me, gender has very little do do with whether or not I'll get along with someone; personality, sense of humor, morals and common interests are typically the determining factor. My closest friends now are females, but I also have several males friend who I get along great with. For most of my life I've always had a fairly balanced ratio of male and female friends.

I personally don't think any gender is more likely to be more bitchy than the other. I've come across just as many males as females who are catty and create drama.

Same here but looking back on my life so far it's easy to see that I in general have gotten along better with females. Still, there's many, many girls or women I haven't got along with at all. I like down to earth, simple and caring people. Of course it's not that simple to say that I get along with everyone that fits into those criterias. It take so much more. It's a start though.

I recognize what Living Dead Boy said. I'm not your typical male. For good and bad.

Stand out from the crowd, baby! :D
Well I have more male friends than female so I guess I'd say that I get along more with males. Probably just because we have more in common.

I grew up with girls, and in high school I was the only boy in my class 😛 now again in uni I'm surrounded by girls 😛 too bad I'm gay!! Anyway I do enjoy spending time with my male mates, I grew very close to a group of them in the last couple of years and I mostly hang out with them now! 🙂 oh and my best friend is a guy!

I think it's pretty equal. I only have one good guy friend. You'd think that I'd have tons or something because my humor is kind of gross sometimes 😉 but no...I just happened to meet the freakiest/strangest girls on the planet. I'm not sure who I get along with better though...hmm. I think I enjoy hanging out with guys a little more. One of my really good friends, a girl, has tons of guy friends and I have so much fun hanging out with them.

In high school I only had male friends, generally I was miserable around girls, and sometimes that still lingers today but it doesn't really have anything to do with girls per say, as it has to do with a certain type of person, be they guy or girl, certain types just rubs me the wrong way (as it does everybody).

As for my guy friends I think it's mainly common interests that have bonded me to them, but my girl friends I think it's more of an emotional connection since we don't really have a lot of interests in common necessarily.
But at the end of the day I like having both, some days you just wanna kick back and hang with dudes and other days you just wanna come home and chat with some chicks. Both genders are awesome in their own right, just depends on what mood you're in 🙂

I very much agree with what Taake has said above.

Growing up I always had a good balance of friends but always seemed to get on better with males. Perhaps it is because I was a bit of a tomboy and I was more interested in football and Star Wars than I was in the more feminine things. Of course this then meant spending time with the guys, girls didn't like me because I was always with the guys they liked. Generally I found guys less complicated than the girls.

Now that i'm older i've realised that I was just spending time with the wrong kind of girls. I've now got a great group around me of both sexes and I wouldn't trade either side of them for the world.

Oohhh, I like your avatar. He's so hot, hehe ;)
Most of my friends are female... but I don't think their gender has much to do with that. I've never really thought of it having a correlation. There are some things, like favorite characters, where I see a correlation. I have trouble relating to female characters the way I relate to male characters. But in terms of friends in real life, I've not noticed a correlation. Because it's not that I don't relate to men... it's just that I know more women who share my interests.

For me it's pretty simple... The majority of my friends are males, but the female friends I have I consider to be closer. I think it's just easier for me to open up to them than with the guys. Obviously I'm not saying I never had a close male friend, but I think I get along better with females in general. 🙂
