Do you have an accent?

I haven't seen the movie..but I remember the episode where they go to Canada...and I laughed and laughed...especially 'French Canada' LOL

Like Beer Nut said...it's generally seen to be a dig at Americans...because some (not all) know so little about their Northern Neighbours...and alot of the misconceptions about Canadians was brought to animation in that eppy 😉 Also no offense meant!
 
Yeah its really weird how little us Americans know about the Canadians, but I'd wager that there are some Canadians who know more about American than the Americans do. I've seen Jay Leno on his show, go around and ask people questions that any American citizen should know and flub it up beyond belief.

Yeah. I meant New Jersey accent. I know what Channel Island is, but not Cardigan.
 
Are you North Jersey or South Jersey though Hero? The accents are very different. There's like a line in the state...once you cross it you go from borderline NYC accents to borderline Southern accents.

I don't think I have an accent -- a very generic voivce (i geuss it comes from being AF brat --but i've only lived in 4 places japan, california, pittsburgh penn and ohio) :lame:
 
I think most of mine (Chinese accent) went away but every now and than it pops up... Not sure how...

I just have a localised accent, I mean you can tell I have an accent when you hear me but as none of you probably know where I live, a wee little town, then you probably wont know what I mean. Although people say I speak posh, not hoidy toidy posh but there we go.

I like the sound of that! I have a thing for Irish accents.

My accent is hard to explain, I have several. Being from Fife I have a very strong accent, and when I started studying in Edinburgh (which is a 45 minute train journey) most people would not know what I was talking about as its different dialects. Over time I dropped what I call the common Lochgelly accent, 'it really is ken whit ah mean' and people thought I came from Edinburgh which was much better.

I don't sound like Ewan, as he's from Creiff and has a cute accent and I don't sound like connery because no one has an accent like that!

Probably the people that have spoken to me will be able to say. But I am fast, and when i'm angry I swear and my accent is strong. And when my brother gets drunk funnily enough he sounds like a Glaswegian.
 
I dont have a really strong Welsh accent,some people from Wales have a really strong accent,but apparently I dont *shrugs*
 
My accent has changed over time as a result of living in different areas. I started off with rural Warwickshire, then picked up a little Birmingham, then a bit of Yorkshire and then a bit of Dudley and now a lot of North Lincolnshire but Mrs P says that as soon as I get to my Mum's the old accent kicks right back in...accents and dialects are great 🙂
 
Cool, I have spanglish accent 😀 Nah nevermind, I don't know the type of my accent... but I don't speak the "latinoamerican accent"...
My sister have british accent when she speaks english...

Faith uses her "posh" accent when she speaks to me, and I can understand that, but when she gets angry or upset she slips into her natural accent and all I can do is nod and say "uh huh". 😀

Being a relative newbie, the image I mentally associate with Faith is, as yet, a sleepy eyed Eliza Dushku with a Puppy. Now she sounds like Groundskeeper Willie. Best. Thing. ever.
