I'm just curious, coz in about an hour Poland will join the EU!!! Go my country!!

So is there anyone else from any of the joining today 10 countries??

And if not do you even know what the European Union is??
 
i'm from Portugal...so we are in it for a couple of years now..wich your country luck..altought the EU didn't really do anything really important here..or anything at all..i think that it gave some money to the government for public utillities and constructions..but we really never seen anything... ::eyes::
but anyway go Poland! 😀
 
I'm from one of the countries NOT joining...Not sure if that is good or bad...I've tried to find out more about it, by asking my parents what they think and stuff, but they go all politician on me...Meaning they say alot that really means "I don't know"...
 
Lol thanx..I'm just looking forward to being able to live in another country and het my hands on these special university exchange programmes🙂
 
If you've got any simple questions about the EU feel free to ask me. I deal with some of the more practical issues as part of my job. I can't go in-depth about EU law and such but I do have a working knowledge of stuff like imports and exports. Welcome to the club 🙂
 
austria is already a member and it's ok....i mean i hate the euro.....It's good that we have all the same currency...but everything got MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE!!!
although i think it's great to have an european union...to have europe together
 
Phew, I thought I was the only one in favor of the EU. I think it's really important and doing us real good and even though everything indeed got more expensive, I like the Euro too.

Only thing is they want to bring in Turkey too one day, but I don't think they should, 'cause I don't think it's european country, it has such a different culture.
 
I hate the EU. I don't like the idea of the Euro, mainly because if we are it with a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 in Britain, then the economy will go down an affect all Euro countries. Also the EU constitution is bloody ridiculous and is made t suite the Fremch (what isn't), Germany and Italy (or is it Spain).
 
I don't know what I feel about the EU, but I don't like the Euro...I like the money in Norway, and I like that countries have different money...I just do...lol

yeah tge prices got much higher.. 🙁
the euro it's only good because now we don't have to excange cureency everytime we go to otherEU countries..
but yeah, the ritcher and more powerful countries are the bosses of th EU..the smaller ones just do what the othere told them to do..teoricly the EU should had brought a lot of improves..but in reality i don't really see that much improvings..
 
Yeah..for a few years we'll still have our currency.But even now there was a panic that the price of sugar will rise v.fast so people were buying 50 kilos or more!!!And I agree there's sooo much trouble with constitution(mostly thanx to my bloody 'religious' country). B
 
the rich got richer and the pour got pourer...that's the result of the euro

i don't want to have turkey in the Eu aswell....i also think that it is such a diffrent culture and i hate the woman are not allowed to have a sexuality-if they have before they are married-one of the family members should kill her cause she's a shame for the family - thing....this jus makes me really mad!!
 
I live in the UK so were already a part of the EU but i dun really know anything about it lol 😀
But i do know that we havent got the Euro yet and i think that we should. It would be mich more beneficial when it comes to trade with other contries in the EU. however i wouldnt have my good exchange rates when buying thigs form Japan lol 😀. i think that we should get the Euro
 
being from the US, I don't know a whole lot about it except for what we've talked about in school...
 
Yeah..I had basically the whole term of my Knowledge of ociety devoted to it..Then tehre was a big school quiz, but all of us had to participate...Great example of democracy and free will I have to tell you
 
Yep, here too it's way more expensive !!!

But EU is great & euro, well, once you got used to it, I'd say it's good, no need to change money each time, kinda cool.
Plus, it's funny to see all the different kind of euro, lol, I'm collecting them just to see the different pic on the coins coming from different country !
It's great coz it feels like part of a big group, united group or something.
Ok, I donno much about politics so I know there are also problems, but in the end, I bet everything will be great !!!

& ana8, Welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha, it's been a long time I'm looking forward poland to enter EU, donno why I just love the lil I know of your country !!!
 
i'm from norway.. and we are NOT joining the EU this year! i hope we never will! no offence but i'm a member og youth against the EU... but i do undersatnd why some of the new countrys join though! so con-grats Ana8 on being a new citezen of the EU 😉
